Stop worry about the dumb "blue" laws, there were once reasons for them, it's just that public servants have better things to do than calling a session to remove them.

For example, they're busy going on tax-payer-paid vacations or going to luncheons thanks to lobbyists.

Not by a mile.

But Borat is from Kazahkstan. ;)

The Kansas State School board is run by a Moron, Nobody in eastern Kansas Knows what a turn signal is or what it means, We worry too much about "keepin' the dang queers down" instead of protecting the environment of making a semblance of an energy policy.

Hmm..

Most SUV's are driven by idiots, usually the idiot behing the wheel is the only passenger.

Old american cars are highly prized, thirsty, and unsafe. Nobody will publicly acknowledge the existance of pedestrians, and the rare pedestrian is labelled a heretic by impatient drivers and two second walk signals.

Fast food is tasteless. Don't buy the deli meat. Europeans have better salami than we do. Our gas is cheaper. the roads are wider. Meth comes from Missouri, unfortunately. Police stories about meth busts are interesting. The Abandoned Hospital in Marceline, MO has fleas.

When in New York, see the lion king. Tightwad, MO (pop. 63) has good barbeque. I-35 and I-70 through Kansas are both painfully boring. When in Wichita, go to Freddy's.

Breckenridge has good skiing. The snowboarders are your friends. Look out for clowns driving loud fox bodies.

Hope some of that helps.

Kansas is endless wheat and crops, plus the occasional oil derrick. You MUST go to Santa Fe and St Louis, they are beautiful.

The OZ museum in Kansas totally sucks.

So do we. I've got a Mxican restaurante at the top of my street, right nex to a chinese takaway and a few yards further on is my local kebab house.

Why are so many state borders straight lines?

That's so wacked out.
Why would a border be curved when it doesn't need to be? Borders are straight unless there is a natural border which can be used (usually a river or lake/ocean shoreline). The straight borders are usually set on a certain parallel or meridian line.

Aha! but you fail to realize that we plant soybeans and corn too! But, we are the Nation's largest Beef provider, If I heard my history teacher right.

Never been to the OZ museum. And I've lived in kansas my whole life. there's also massive Salt caverns, which are used as massive natural gas reservoirs. We have a salt mine. Don't forget Big Brutus. Big Brutus does the quarter in 10 flat. minutes, that is.

I think he means, really, we have mexican food here. :D

Why, do your Mexican restaurants cook the meal in Mexico and then fly it to the states?

It's the recipies that count, we can get hold of proper Mexican recipies and stuff over here.

Recipies only go so far. One of my friends baked the best chocolate chip cookies I've ever had. We got the recipie from her, but when we made them, they weren't nearly as good. It's the little subtleties that make the difference.

Mine response was a joke. I don't know what he really meant by it....:indiff:

But here's one. In America, you'll see that the pickups are longer than the actual parking spaces.:dunce:

True, but the subtle differences between retaurantes will still be there in US restaurantes as well. unless you have actual Mexican chefs doing the food, the recipies are all you've got.

In Texas, you'll definately see mexican chefs doing the food.
I know of a Chinese Restaurant that even has Mexican chefs.

Now that I'd have to see , we get a lot of Chinese people here, so most chinese restaurantes have Chinese chefs, but I don't see many Mexicans.

It makes a huge difference if there are native chefs in the restaurant. Where I live, there is excellent food of all types on University Way. The reason it is so good (and cheap) is because there are Indians cooking lamb vindaloo, Arabs cooking kabobs, Greeks cooking beef souvlaki, etc. Even if I had all of these recipies, it would taste like crap if I tried to make it.

Now Mexicans are quite good at cooking. They're the utility players of the culinary industry. They do well with their own food, but with other types as well. Case in point: When I was down in California this spring, we had breakfast at Denny's. I didn't expect much from Denny's. The Denny's I've eaten at here are usually staffed and cooked by white trash. The food is marginal at best. However, the breakfast I had at Denny's in SoCal was delicious. Same restaurant chain, same recipies (presumably). The difference, I believe, is the Mexican chefs. They know food 👍

Somebody sold you a big one.

Got it off one of the 'dumb laws' web sites. I do know that the river is the border, thank you. :)

It wouldn't surprise me for Indiana to have made a claim of the river against Kentucky at some time in the past.

A lit cigarette isn't hot enough to ignite liquid gasoline, maybe. But it's plenty hot enough to ignite gasoline vapors, which are the real danger, since they are what cause explosions.

Beat me to it, but yes, vapors are the problem.

dont be fooled, us brits are catching up when it comes to obesity. Infact im sure in america kids play alot more sport that they do over here, but maybe its because you guys do have more options for fast food than us.

But then again the average brit for some reason loves getting drunk to a stupor for fun every weekend which will make you pile on the pounds.

I don't know about everywhere else, but over here, the most patriotic people, with their American flags waving outside, they are usually the last people you would pick to represent a country.

Yes we do. Cali rocks. Anyway, Ive got a (potential) girlfriend and a lot of good friends there. Insult them and MachOne's Fluffy will get you.

I have found that a lot of America's youth have a need to fill every bit of their lives with drama, as if they're trying to live out the show The OC...
