i used a 650PP BMW McLaren Race Car and came in 2nd by 5+ seconds :yuck:........
so thats not very good....
What's your opinion?

You can try the Chaparral 2J or the Nissan GT-R 35 TC. The McLaren F1 should have been an easy win. SSR5 is a tricky track so I think you just need a little more practice and you will be able to win with no problem. Good luck.

The Nissan R35 TC did the job for me, I recommend it.

I'd say the best car is the one you feel satisfied with the results of the race, and what you're trying to achieve from it. Some are looking for the easy win; others are looking for a more challenging win; and there are some who are looking to grind the course for credits and xp, and want a car that they: a) are comfortable driving and b) can compete with the other cars on the grid.

With all that said, I use the M3 GTR race car because I enjoy driving it AND it is competitive with the likes of the Zonda, the Ford GT, and the BMW McLaren F1.

I usually drove Pagani Zonda R, but after Car Pack 3, my favorite 650PP car is Lamborghini Aventador (fully tuned+racing soft tires)!

I find it funny that everyone is using cars which you have to buy with either in-game credits or real money. The easiest, quick car to achieve is the Mazda Furai Concept. Its a prize car for the mazda roadster race (not endurance one). It is also extremly fast.

I use a DFGT and am not a quick driver by any measure. However, my first time out with this car+this track I lapped the track in1:15.1xx and still much more time to be found. I can seem my self getting into the low 14's. Everybody else in other forums are saying that their times are in the 1:19's but none seem to even remeber this car, and there B-Spec lvl is 30+.

Actually I'd say the McLaren race car!
I think it's the greatest car for that race, and I take the lead on lap 4. No modifications, no aids and Race Medium tyres.

Ford GT spec II Test car is probably the fastest and easiest to win due to it's abundance of power. I prefer using something like the Mobile 1 NSX because it's just so easy to drive consistently fast. Especially when using DS3.

But yea, Ford GT Spec II, MacLaren F1 GTR, Zonda LM and Nomad Diablo will all get the job done.

Just wondering, but have you and others forgoten about the Furai. I mentioned it in my earlier post and for me it is THE easiest car and quickest car to win with (omitting the 2J). May I add again that it is the easiest to achieve.

Yes I have forgotten about the Furai... I have never once used it lol. I only got it a short time ago from the OCD as I HATE B-Spec :) So for me, it isn't the easiest car to achieve.

EDIT: With my Ford GT Spec II Test car, I just did a run where I passed the Ford GT leader by the end of Lap 2!!! I don't think that I could do that with the Furai. Went on to win by more that 23 seconds.

+1

Maybe the OP is on Racing Hard tires? Put on a pair of Racing Soft and all the 650pp races are a breeze.👍

What lap times are your running? I have only done this race once and it was almost 2 weeks ago so I dont remember the details. However, I do think that I passed the leader before the end of lap two, and It was my first go with the car/track combo. If you tell me your lap times I will be able to tell you how you compare to me and my furai.

Lap one was a low 1:17 and lap two was a 1.14.1xx. After that I was running high 1:14's and low 1:15's.

We are basically running the same lap times. Like I said I have only run this event once but my fastest lap was a 1'15.1xx. This was my first time out and could have gone quicker if I got all the braking/turn-in spots right. I could easily see a 1'14.1xx possible.

I still maintain my belief that the Mazda Furai, in the 650 pp range, is the 2nd quickest car (second to the 2J)

No question Furai is excellent. Just did a few trial laps. Furai consistently laps in 1:15 except for first lap. But the F1 GTR did a best lap in 13.9s and consistently 1:14 to 1:16 so at least in my hands F1 GTR is faster. In chap 2j, low 1:15 high 1:14. The r35 tc runs in the mid 1:15. Btw, I am using race soft for these laps. In short, these are all great choices. Their handling differs greatly though. The chapparal sometimes takes to the air in the first segment and have some difficulty at the hairpin. The f1 bounces like a pinball when contacted by other cars but has great acceleration. The r35 tc is super stable and don't carry enough speed thru turns. The furai top end speed is lacking but handles superbly.

Agreed that all of these cars are amazing to dirve and will dominate any 650 pp race.

However, I do think that technically the 2J should be the fastest, but no big deal. So to answer the OP, any of the cars listed above will do the job handly so its down to the cars you have. I think the Furai is the eaisest to obtain (low lvl b-spec race).

However if you, like all other GT5 players, have become rich off the expert b-spec races than pick the car you find the most fun. This is because grinding the same 5 lap event which you dominate is very boring.

I like to use the McLaren F1 GTR Race Car. Mine is fully broken in and with Praiano's setup, it will reach exactly 650PP. Nothing more, nothing less.

I used the nissan r390 race car, which is a comfortable win everytime, normally catch the leader on lap three with it.

spikeyhairdude
add me i have one shared online :D

Not desperate for it, for I have may other cars which can do its job. For now it's just putting in the races and hoping lady luck is on my side :/

The Chapparel 2J is the fastest 650PP car.

I'm running mindless, sloppy 1:13's on SS5 with it, and I use a DS3. You will get into first place on the second lap.

When I focus beyond grinding, I'm hitting 1:12's, with plenty of room for improvement.
