What's the best car for Like the Wind?

There are three races. The first is indy and gives 43 610 for gold. Second is Special Stage Route 7 and gives 42 500. The last one is Special Stage Route X aka the speed test, and gives 43 890 for gold. This last one is probably the best race for money grinding, as it is super simple and takes about four minutes with a decent car. Can make a few million in a few hours here.

The cheapest option is probably to get your Mercedes-Benz VGT (which is a free gift) and fully tune it.

Of course 3 laps around Brands hatch in the loaner RB Jr pays 177k so.....
As for the like the wind if you want to save money the Mercedes VGT is the car to use. It is free, you just need to to add a few parts and crank the top speed up as far as it goes to make it into a rocket. It will easily smoke the field on the SSX race and can easily win the others as well.

Go to Vision GT on the main screen, select Mercedes-Benz and then hit Accept as Gift.
To the OP if you want to buy a car for the last two races then the ZZII is actually the cheaper option at 60k. Better value than the GT-R and can be used in a lot of other races besides that one.
But definitely get the Merc if you haven't already. After the first time you need to pay 1 million, so you'll know if you've claimed it already.

i am using jay leno car with nitro and everything and still come in 4th place its very annoying, i am maxing out around 246-251, but the bugatti and another car keep drafting me then take over at the end, please help, which car can go the fastest on the route x?

Get the Veyron for example. Easy. It's the fastest car in the game in top speed (besides the Red Bulls)

I assume he is using the Tornado and not the tank car. If its maxing out just buy the customizable transmission and set the top speed to 311 or whatever the highest value is. If you haven't already, make sure all power upgrades are made along with an oil change.Why would you use a Tank Car?

wow holy sh@# this toronado hauls a$$, thanks man i changed the top speed to 311, i was 23 secs in front at the finish, car drafted at 285 top and normal top speed without drafting was 258, nice.
