#2. about HP buying Compaq i heard otherwise from a BMW Bodyshop owner, syaing that during a practise/qualifying run (i forget which) the CPU failed and then they literally switched to HP before a race, and also i heard Compaq was bought out by Dell, along with Gateway.
#3. I already had an HP computer and i loved it. No problems whatsoever. Everything was even colour coded and came with tons of extra books and HP software and i occasionally got free **** in the mailjust for owning one. Maybe this is after HP made theyre huge software movement or something.

What does Compaq have to do with F1? Sure HP is a sponsor for BMW, but I really dont see the relevence...

Compaq used to be a big sponser for Williams I believe.

HP owns Compaq, they bought them out over a year ago. I'm sure Google would confirm this. That's the relevance - the sponsorship carried over. And yes, their desktops are crap. But buying most name brands is dangerous - replacing the proprietary CMOS battery for an HP can run $2000AU. Can you say planned obsolescence?

I'm looking forward to the unveiling of the F2005.

Renault - they got Fernando Alonso (IMHO, the next Michael Schumacher) as lead driver, Flavio Briatore as manager and their cars just look really nice.
