What's your most expensive worst car?

I think it's going to be the Alfa 8C :)
With the Ford GT40 you have to be aware that it comes stock with wood tyres (comfort medium). Put sports on it and it's great.
I'm somewhat disappointed by the 917K, i thought it's going to be better handling/more stable for the price.
Also the McLaren VGT is more promising than it delivers. In comparison with the Chaparral the active wing stuff doesn't work quite well.

This review sealed the fate for my next addition to my garage, I love the DB3S but if it is in effect a trophy car, not really for racing, then I can wait for it to cycle back through the system.
It's really a great car when stock, for real, but I just don't know that we're going to see content where it can be used anytime soon. I'm sure once Praiano gets ahold of it 525-575pp will be on the table, but with me doing the tuning it just wants to kill me as soon as I add power, lol. But yeah, If I could do it over I'd have passed on it and picked it up next time through the rotation when credits aren't so tight.

@Talon16 The GT Spec II is pretty great, prob my favorite Gr. 3 car, it's the road car that's kind of a nightmare. My only gripe with Spec II and the Test Car is they sound like they did in GT6, ie vacuum cleaners.
You might like the P1 GTR, I know I like the way it drives. If you just want a car to do time trials it's awesome, I just don't know if it can be used in any of the World Circuit content. Though I'm going to check the WRC 800 races and see if it can enter

Edit: P1 GTR actually can enter World Touring Car 800, so maybe it's not as worthless as I thought.

This is my problem: I got it to run through all the WTC 800 races, but it just can’t keep up with the Gr3/4 cars that are in them. Not one bit. It has great straight line speed, but that’s only good for about two tracks. It’s not fuel efficient at all despite being a “hybrid,” and it drives like it’s heavier than it actually is.

It’s a great time trial car. I actually got it tuned to where it was really good, but in the actual race it behaved completely, exasperatingly different. I could have bought all the Gr.3 cars available for the price of this race-day brick!

On a side note, I got that weird Chaparral “car” that’s like a laser-driven bicycle or something in the Brand store. I was able to detune it enough to enter a race and it is a blast to drive. I seriously laughed out loud the first time I raced with it. You just have to experience it yourself. It’s actually worth the million just for the enjoyment I got from it. But it’s no good as a race car. The battery runs out too quickly. I discovered if I cheat really bad and skip every single turn and chicane at Monza that I could win the WTC 800 even with 3 pit stops. I laughed the entire time, but I don’t really consider it a win (other than the pure joy of watching it float right over obstacles and curbs and such—that’s a win in anybody’s book). I also set up a custom race with random cars and it only selected other electric vehicles. It was the weirdest, quietest race ever! I had to check that I hadn’t muted the tv on accident.

Add 20-30kg ballast all the way forward (-50) and go to the LSD (last setting, braking sensitivity or something like that) and push it all the way back to 60. Maybe a little more rear down force and less front down force. Throw on the medium or high rpm turbo and some RS tires. Boom, brand new car. Dominate the WTC 800PP. You're welcome.

Anybody know if the bmw mclaren f1 gtr race car '97 is worth the price, or is it another sentimental favorite that doesn’t perform?

Probably sone of the ferrari so far, but haven't spent a million on any of them so not end of the world.

Or that ruf that was in ucd tge other week for 700kish. Pretty much undriveable for me, although only gave it 10 mins. Need to find a decent tune...

The BMW Gr.3 car is awful, so is F12 Berlinetta...no matter what I tweak those things are undriveable.

It's worth it. Difficult to drive, but lots of fun once you get the hang of it.

The F12 is pure evil 🤣 only car I've managed the tokyo race with though...

The best way to get use out of these undrivable cars is to use them on events with difficulty set to easy. That will balance the challenge.

Miura untuned. This ****er looooooves to spin out making slow-medium speed tracks a slog. Deep Forest though wasn't too bad because the brakes are actually quite solid for how old the car is.

It's a trophy, which is a shame because it's one of the few Legends cars that might have some actual practical use because of its PP class. You can't even recreate the Jota either (only aero is a spoiler). I'd imagine though with some tuning the thing could still be beastly
I'm right there with you. Loved the car in GT Sport but in GT7 so far it handles awful. I didn't want to put upgrades on it but I might have to if I ever plan to drive it again.

That RUF is a handful. You can definitely tell it’s built from a Porsche.

I nearly gave up on the Pagani Huayra that I got at the same time as the RUF. I thought either car would kill at the WTC events, but you can’t win those with road cars. Plus the Huayra has incredibly bad gas mileage. But after struggling with the Tokyo Expressway race with the rain I eventually gave the Huayra a shot because it’s so heavy and has incredible torque. I was able to map the due at 6 and short shift the entire race on Sport Softs and finally won the stupid race.

Maybe the RUF has a secret use as well. . .

Bought the Veneno and put on Sports Soft tires and it feels as heavy and cumbersome as the Veyron. The Aventadors have better handling at a fraction of the cost.

Ferrari FXX K, horrible to drive. You’d think a track day car like that would have some grip.
Mid engine rear wheel drive cars in general have had weird handling since GT5 unless they were full race cars with downforce and even then in GTSport some of them felt almost impossible to handle.

The La Ferrari drives like a bag of spanners, it will understeer one minute and oversteer the next, that's my most regrettable purchase (it looks the bees knees though so I don't regret it all that much).

As for the Mclaren P1 GTR, I'm not really sure what the above people are talking about as it's an absolute track weapon!

Are you sure you don't meant he F1 GTR? That sucker is amazing! But I stand my my assessment of the P1. Admittedly, I haven't driven it since the 1.13 physics update, so it may be better now, but for 3.6 million credits it's just atrocious.

No I definitely mean the P1, I haven't got the F1 yet as it's never available, well hasn't been since I've had the credits to buy one and I've been looking everyday, can't wait to get my hands on it.

Just off topic but do you by any chance have the Mclaren F1 GTR and the Standard Road legal one by any chance Bullwinkle (or anyone else reading)?

I have 20 million credits put aside for the road version but the GTR has shown up and I'm so tempted to buy it but I really want the other more expensive one and I don't wanna drop 10 million and that one becomes available...I'll get to the point, if you have both and could only keep one which would it be?

Maybe best off starting a new thread with this, although I guess not many people have both so probably pointless?
