When you get a new car, where do you go to get a feel for it? For me, it's Deep Forest. The long straight, the hairpin, the elevation changes, and all of the different corners really put a car through it's paces. So... what's your test track?

Nordschleife

If I don't notice anything within the first few minutes, I still have a lot of time to figure out the car.

test track? you tune cars to a certain track!! i custom tune transmission so the gears can max on differant straights.... every track is differant. but if its a Power tune i Use Top Gear Test Track

Either the Nordschleife or one of my Course Maker circuits. The 'Ring is a good one because it's such an epic track, and also that because of all the times we get from actual runs there, most people have a good idea of what a good time there is.

My course maker tracks are also good because I made them, and having tested them personally to 'sign them off' as completed tracks, I know them quite well and feel comfortable trying a car out on them...

Grand Valley Speedway

Old favourite, long straights, hairpins, chicanes...a couple of tighter than expected corners. A sweeper. :D

Drifting: Cape Ring North
Handling/Acceleration: Cape Ring Periphery
General lap time comparing: Knockturn Raceway (Eifel course maker track)

Can't believe no one has mentioned my favorite yet :(
I go to Suzuka right after I buy a car, then most of my cars spend the rest of their days online, doing deep forest and nordy.

I use alot tracks for testing (amount depending on how much I like the car), but the ones I like most for testing are Suzuka for normal racing and Tsukuba for drifting.

Suzuka is my test track. I like to see the speeds that I can go through the esses. for me that tells a lot about the car and its capabilities. I always use sport soft tires to try and keep it as even as possible.

The Nurburgring Nordschleife, it tests all statistics and features in one single fast lap.

I like the Indy road course. The corners in the road part seem to have an ever-so slight off-camber quality to them.

Or my own courses.

OR - using the FF, FR, 4WD seasonals to put a new car through its paces against competition and make a return on the credit outlay on it.

For general handling tests: Top Gear Test Track
For topspeed tests: La Sarthe 2009 No chics:dopey:
For an epic overall test: Nurby Nordy
