Here's a review of my new wheel stand pro/ps3/GT5/logitech g25

Actually it doesn't rock when you lean forward. I don't have issues with it rocking when I play.
Have you thought of putting a couple of wood blocks or some other solid objects down so that the AK Rocker that you're using stays in place?

After the excellent review of the OP, I went with his advice.
Ordering and payment were made easy. Delivery was just as promised -- prompt.
The quality of this product is absolutely better than I would have hoped for. It already is a welcomed addition to ourur house.

I've just ordered one. It's the only thing my wife will let me setup in the living room. I just hope it will work ok with my Speed 7 when I'm racing my PC sims in the livingroom.

I really need one of those, I just got a wheel and can't use it. But they want $289 for it, and I could have a real car for less.

$289 AUS?
I got the DFP version (no use getting the g25) for $100 AUS less.
You have to realise that the price is inclusive post and packaging.
The price for a Playseat is around $550-$570 here in Sweden.

Update: Got the note from my postoffice yesterday, it's there waiting for me.
Have to say, stellar delivery! I'm really impressed.

Finally got it up and running. The Wheel stand pro is really very sturdy.
Very little flex to the sides. A little bit more forward and backwards, but I can't
feel that when I'm racing. My Speed7 fits nicely too.

I just received my wheel stand pro a few days ago and I must say I am very impressed. Light and sturdy, I didn't know these two things can go together.

kaymm2's review pretty much summarized the pros of this wheel stand is pretty. However, in his review he said

"...The clamps are super hard to unclamp once you lock them down. You pretty much have to be superman...."

and this is not the case for the one I received. They are very easy to lock and unlock. Maybe they have improved that part on the newer ones (mine has a serial # 499).

One more thing. kaymm2 also commented that

"...I had to really lock it down the clamps so it wouldn’t tilt forward or swivel on me when I was doing some serious driving. Even when I tightened it up, it still moved if I really pushed on it. But only if I tried..."

I wasn't very impressed initially when I found that I could actually move they even though I had locked everything down. But very soon I realized that I could the wrench they provided to further tighten everything up. It is possible to make everything non-movable after locking down the clamps, but I can imagine that over-tightening can break everything, so I just left them "very difficult to move after locking down the clamps".

Sorry for dragging an old thread up but I wanted to thank the OP for the review. It convinced me to drop the coin on the WSP. Mine arrived today and I have to say that I'm mighty impressed with the quality. It's very well made. I needed a compact stand and this one is perfect.

Thanks for posting the review!

They make an AK Rocker 200 that you can get stabilizers for to keep it from rocking. Same chair just different model. I am going with the Precise Racing Chair setup. Very similar.

I just wanted to also say thanks for posting the review of the wheel stand pro. I received mine this week and I love it! I'm happy because I have a working wheel/pedal setup and my wife is happy because she doesn't have to see it sitting in the living room 24/7.

Anyway, it's a great product and the quality really impressed me. This thing is built like a tank. 👍

Anyone know the difference between the Logitech and 360 versions? I have a DFP and a 360 wheel for various games, is there a model that will accept both, or at least one I can rig an adapter for one of the wheels?

I think it has to do with the way the wheel mounts. For the setup I talked about before it looks like you clamp the table to the wheel on the stand. I never looked at the 360 wheel but are the mounting mechanisms similar?

I guess they sell the Ps3 or 360 for 150, you can get one that is compatible with both for 200. Apparently the 360 mounts are wider so for the extra 50 you get an "extension bar". You could probably rig something up to save that 50.

My Wheel Stand Pro arrived last night. Extremely happy with it! :D Took me quite a while to setup but I'm quite OCD about setting stuff up precisely and driving position.

I ordered the dual version as I also have both wheels.
Delivery took about a week from Poland to Canada, no customs. The box looked like it went through WW2, product itself was not damaged at all though.

When you purchase the dual adapter, it comes with an additional base and rod so that you can easily swap out the G25 with the XBOX. The way they mount the xbox wheel on is totally different than the G25 and the people at WSP figured out a way that is pretty sturdy.

So now that I have both wheels setup on the two different bases I can just swap them whenever I want in about 5 seconds, but if you plan to mount your pedals to the WSP then you'll have to have a screwdriver with you to swap the pedals each time.

Overall I'm really happy with this purchase, its pretty fun to play and I can easily put it away when I'm not using it.

Hey! Thanks for this post, I have a similiar low gaming chair and was not sure if the WSP could adjust that low, but from the looks of the pic, it's possible! How do you find the pedal position since your legs will be quite parellel to the floor?

thanks

Sorry to bump again that old thread. But after all that time I was wondering if the WSP owners were still satisfied? Is it still sturdy.. and how are all the screws holding?
I'm looking for the WSP for my G27!
