When do you think ALL cars will be "premium"

so they will have cockpit view, detailed damage and be extremely high quality and detailed?

I predict it will be around autumn next year. You?

Never, in the six years they got 220 Premium cars and you think we will have over 1000 (one thousand) next year?

To be fair all of their resources didn't obviously go on 220 cars in 6 years. I'm sure I read somewhere that it takes near on a month to get 1 car ready in GT5.

Of course not all of their resources were used for the cars, but it's still completely unrealistic to think they will patch 800 Premium cars in one year. Don't forget that they are still working on other improvements of the game and GT6 already.

GT6 will be all premium... but it's not going to be 1k cars most likely. I don't see GT5 making it to 400 premiums honestly.

Time will tell.

I'm thinking if they get a good number of premium cars, maybe 500+ by the release of GT6, they won't include standard at all. 500 is a perfectly reasonable and acceptable number, but these forums will erupt anyway because everyone will have that one standard car they loved that didn't make the grade.

Whatever the actual number will be it will

a) not be all of them

and

b) it will be DLC for cash. You will see. They will start to offer the most used standard cars as DLC in a month or two and charge us 5$ or so ea.

My 2 cents.

Depends on what cars the list of 500 would contain.
You could easily narrow the list of GT5 down to 500 without loosing a lot of variety. But, if PD (for example) kept all Skylines, Evos and RX-7, a list of 500 cars would provide very little variety.

Thing is, cars with little difference can probably be modelled easier than entirely different cars, so I wouldn't put my money on not seeing a lot of similar cars in a list of 500.

To answer the initial question: Never. And in my opinion, there's little reason to turn all cars into premiums.

I highly doubt that.

I can't imagine $5 each for the cars, but I do see 5 or 10 packs for $5- $10.

Personally I prefer quality over quantity. I would rather have 200 well done cars than 800 partially ported that don't match the other 200.

They can also get rid of the vitz and below type cars. They are too slow for a racing game. I understand that they are there to build you up to the better cars, but I think they could start us on M3s and 370Zs instead.

I'm only making things up here, m8. It could as well be .50$ a car but I doubt that it will be that little.

I'm with you on the vitz and co but I suppose it was a sponsoring deal :)

I would be suprised if they made over 350. There are more pressing problems and I'm sure they would rather make cars for GT6 than GT5 so they don't get ripped like they did in GT5 for all the standards.

I disagre here. I'm sure they would like to make more GT5 premium cars as long as it earns them money, i.e. they can sell them via DLC. They spent half a decade developing this software. They will release as many add-ons as they can sell before going into that half decade cycle again, which is 100% legit from my perspective. A company has to earn. That's their reason of existance. Otherwize you wouldn't have one.

I agree that they should make some new premiums however Polyphony will make GT6 a much better game because of how much they got attacked. They know another semi-disappointing game will be terrible for the franchise so I'm sure they want to make more high quality cars. The sooner they get started, the more cars they can make.
