I had an account here during the GT4 days if I recall.
Thank you guys. Falling back in love with it, for sure. I absolutely adore the rim selection and being able to fit used wheels from other brands shows just how big GT4 was, to circumvent a licensing minefield like that.
I love the atmosphere and feel of Gran Turismo 4. Even if it were a nightmare to navigate sometimes it was aesthetically pleasing all around and soothing. I think I should contribute to my own gallery looking at these photos.
I don't know why, but even if it strived to be realistic, Gran Turismo 4 had this strange atmosphere. The ultra-realistic racing games like Forza, Assetto Corsa, and other all seem pretty bland visually in comparison.
Like I said before, the art style is amazing. It's a sense of maturity and more softer, down to earth pallettes. GT5 and 6 will age horribly because of their stand out nature and shininess, but GT4 had always some ageless design...
