787b.....get that in the Like the Wind race, Pro Leagues. This is definitely the first race you right after you get the S-License :)

it takes different people a different amount of time it took me like 3 hours for s liscence other people can get them faster and other people weeks

Tezzell's right, I did like the wind pretty much first. I used the Dodge Viper Concept. Then I used the 787 to win the F090/S and it's all downhill from there!

I played GT and GT2 when they came out so you could say I've logged many many GT miles. Therefore it's not a big deal for me to sit down first thing when I begin the game and pass all of the licenses in a few hours.

This is what I did for GT3, only I took the time to get all of the golds before competing in any of the races, which took about a week. Once that was done I used the prize cars to do some of the more difficult racing first... after completing the Rally mode, which gave me a head start on a few more killer cars to use in Professional mode.

As of now, I have Professional finished, except for the Tuscan Series, 6 of the 10 endurance races, Rally mode done and most of the non-specialized Beginner and Amateur races... which puts me at 80% complete (I did the rally stuff too) and I haven't had to purchase a single car, other than to do the double memory card, purchase prize cars from long series races thing.

I figure I'll be finshed with the game tonight or tomorrow since all of the races left are the 2-5 lap kind... well, of course except for the endurances I have left.

If you don't get your S license, I don't think you should drive an F1. It would be a bit like flying an F-16 with no pilot's license I think.

You'd be the one that gets hurt. If you just jump into an F1 without learning the proper skills to handle it, you'll continue forever trying to compensate for underdeveloped driving technique with hyperpowerful cars... a bit like cheating your way through high school if you ask me.

That is, of course, if you care about developing proper racing skills. If you play GT purely to slide around the track with the glee of a madman... you know, if you're an 'Escudo on the Road Courses' kind of guy then it just doesn't matter. You can have your F1, because you play Gran Turismo for different reasons than I do.

er......... i plat GT for fun.... :/

i prolly wouldnt drive it much as i like a challenge.. hitting my head against a brick wall (ie doing s licence) isnt fun but doing the occasional race in an f1 without having to worry bout repairs ;) would be :D

basically i just want one in my garage (tho it will prolly gather dust)

so yep, we play for different reasons :p

I got my first F1 car from the Seattle Enduro, it was a Polyphony 002. Unfortunately I can't remember anymore which car I used.

I picked up my first F1 at the Laguna Seca Enduro. I was running the Calsonic Skyline with nothing more than a Stage 2 Turbo, and slicks, with an oil change.

Take a look in the "Write-ups" forum to read the full extent of the race.

Iwas at 78.2%

I just recently picked up my second F1. The F094/S for wrapping up the Endurance races. That was 85.6%.

The next F1 I win will likely be four in a row.
An F1 for finishing the Formula one series
An F1 for finishing the Professional mode
An F1 for finishing Simulation mode
An F1 for finishing 100%

Is this right? Or will I only take home 3 F1's?

I used a Rubber band Escudo in Super Speedway to get my F090. I also raced in the Laguna Seca endurance with a Dodge Viper Team Oreca Racer. I only got a Toyota Altezza LM Car though. I almost fell asleep during this race. I like the series races like Gran Turismo All-Stars better because you can save after about 20 minutes, leave, and then comeback whenever you want.

congrats to me...i used my mitsubishi 3000gt to win the super speedway endurance, but unfortuneately i didnt get my f1 car. gonna try again later. by the way this is a great car :) i like it more than my miata.
