If someone were to give you a car of your choosing from GT5, which would you choose?
You can never sell it. It will be your car until the day you die.
You must maintain it (insurance, tires, oil, fuel, etc).

For me, I'd choose the Mercedes-Benz C 63 AMG '08. It is a nice car, but not too nice. You see, I live in an apartment complex and without a garage, I cannot choose a car too likely to get stolen/vandalized. And the maintenance costs shouldn't be too far out of reach for someone who drives less than 15,000 miles a year. Also, it is four doors, so it is practical. And considering the fact I work for the competition, driving a Merc to work would be quite funny. It would be my daily driver.

I also considered the Toyota 86 GT since it is a new car, but it is too small.
Considered the Mazda Roadster TC as well since I could race it here locally and possibly win some money, but it would probably cost me more in tires and fuel than I could ever make racing.

What about you?

A go kart because I can't drive :D

My pick....Audi RS6 Avant '02. Twin Turbo V8, AWD, and a wagon. Perfect for Colorado winters. Either that or the B6 S4 '03 for me. The Avant just looks cooler to me though.

I'm not driving yet but I already have a lot of experience, so maybe a bmw 2002 turbo :D

You'd take the '02 over the '08?
I gave the '08 Avant some consideration. Awesome car.

The M5 would have been my slam dunk choice had it been the F10 instead of the E60.

That's easy...none of them. Because neither of my cars are in the game.

I like the '02 for several reasons. One, to me, the twin-turbo 4.2 V8 is the better engine of the two...and its cheaper to maintain...than the V10. Secondly, I like being different and picking unusual cars. The '02 also looks better, to me.

I, too, would have gone M5 also, except I want the E39 with the S62 5.0 V8.

The Volvo 240 dl estate wagon.

Civic Type R '08
It 4-doors will cancel out the turbo on the insurance it as a VTEC so pretty good gas mileage good power for a little car and great car to haul friends around in plus it is pretty close to my car now

My beloved 05 Cooper S, of course!! :) Im thinking of a new 86 for next year too

An Impreza wagon or a Legacy wagon. Doesn´t get much more balanced on terms of economy, practicality, and of course, performance.

I would have to think it through since both are my dream cars.

For one side I'm a hardcore BMW fan. In the other hand, I fell in love with the Viper since the release of the first concept back in 1989.

The E46 M3, i'd take any one of them.

The Volkswagen Karmann Ghia. It's cheap, got that retro look that I like and it's German. Can't really go wrong with that, I guess that's why I'm buying one. Just gotta find a rust-free red one. My second choice car I'd from GT5 to drive in reality would be that new Scion FR-S/Toyota GT 86.

If you're a fan of the Ghia, you should check out an episode of wheeler dealers where they restore one. Shows many little details about the car.

Personally I'd love to say something like Lancia Stratos, RUF CTR Yellowbird or Lamborghini Miura, but realistically the running costs would run me down (I don't have a garage, half the year the place I live in is covered in snow and ice, and gas costs a fortune over here). If I was being realistic, I'd want something like the AE86 Sprinter Trueno or an older Miata (pop up headlights are my weak spot).

I think this is pretty realistic enough. I'll take one of these, please.

Nissan R390, lets jack my insurance rates up.

I would go for the SLS AMG I just love that car, it probably won't be practical but..

Audi RS6 Avant '08. For most of the reasons that lilcat listed above, but I like the looks of the '08 better. You definitely can't find a better combination of performance, practicality and all-weather dependability. Fantastic car.

Probably the M5. Would want something good, yet comfy for everyday.

Shelby Cobra. Obviously original, and no replica.
I figure, when i'm older(in my 50's or so) i would look pretty badass in that car, amongst all the the electric eco cars.

Subaru WRX STI '10

Realistically, A Golf R or an '89 Miata, unrealistically, a Pagani Zonda R :p

How do you feel about the looks of the car

2006 Dodge Viper SRT10 painted in Blue Viper w/ white Stripes

Or Maybe a Black/Blue Veyron ;)

Hmmm... The Ferrari P4 would be my choice. I wouldn't be able to afford driving it, but I could put it in my garage and look at it, starting it whenever the feeling struck. Besides, you never said anything about relatives not being allowed to sell it after getting it in a will :dopey:

I'd say an '01 ('02 if it exists) Skyline GT-R. I've always loved these cars. Maybe a Stagea though, it's more practical but still cool.
EDIT: You said running cost counts so maybe a Tesla Roadster. I saw one this summer and it is so small. .5 out of 10 for practicality but electricity is dirt cheap here.

Tough choice.... I would bring a list .

But I will go for a Skyline GTR V-SpecII Nur, because it will be already leagalized for the US laws.

The ATTESTA AWD would be a great feature for rain(little or no snow in Nevada) and other driving conditions.

The RB26 is bulletproof and it's reliable. And I can mod it around 500-800hp mark and give it a Z-tune bodykit with OZ Superleggas, TE37s or CE28Ns :D.
