Which car would you choose in real life?

I watched this couple days ago:
http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=j6cyk9mQWM4

Until I watched that doc I have thought that Bugatti Veyron is just overpriced/overhyped Supercar.
That video made me realise that it is an awesome car, engineering masterpiece and technically years ahead of the others.
It would definitely be the car I'd choose.

'65 GT350, '71 Mach 1, '06 GT, SVT Lightning. Maybe a few other muscles.

If it was right now, Scirrocco.

One year from now (new job), the Ford GT 2006.

2012 (Or is it 13?) Nissan GT-R.

- Incredible 0-60 time
- Break your neck cornering ability
- 4 Seats

- All wrapped up in a nice "sleeper" package especially when compared to most supercars.

Realistically VW Sirroco. Less realistically Nissan GT-R. Not so realistically Ferrari 458 Italia. Totally Unreal... All three of them plus like twenty others and my own testing track and maintenance crew....(GT5 in Real LIfe)

Man, I'm really not trying to troll but the OP is a little flawed.

Have to keep it and maintain? Can't sell it? The OP also never said I have to drive it and that this doesn't have to be my only vehicle. With the exception of the Bugatti barn finds and such, cars really are a horrible investment on the whole. I've had to deal with the repairs of a BMW and a Merc here in the US and once you have to start repairs on them it gets expensive.

Given all this...Daihatsu Midget.

Bet I could turn it length-wise in my garage and still fit my wife's car on the same side.

Given the cost of the car, insurance, total maintenance, and the cumulative gas cost of a weekly drive around my block - I'm only out $10,000 tops!

This is just how I look at it - I love cars but I hate buying them!

I would love to say Lamborghini Aventador, it's a work of art. But driving it during an Alaska winter would be pretty stupid and I probably couldn't even find studded tires in the right size. Plus it'd be hard to modify, being as it is an expensive, specialized car and full of complicated electronics.

So, my vote goes to the '69 Camaro Z/28 (which isn't too far from my "somewhat reasonable" dream car, a '69 Nova SS).

What do you mean? Aventador is 4WD and got 700hp isnt that enough? :D

Audi rs6. Need an awd for these terrible winters.
The gtr doesn't get driven in bad weather so I need a more everyday car.

Unrealistically- Aventador, 458 or v12 vantage.

Probably too low to the ground, and like I said you probably couldn't get studded tires for it. Plus, it'd be somewhat stupid to drive a $400,000 car on icy roads with the "big red 4X4" people running around putting everyone at risk.

Although it might not be as stupid as driving a tuned-up Camaro or Nova, with anywhere from 400 to 1000+ horsepower (and no electronics), in the same situation.

Hahaha LFA :drool::drool: Lotus Carlton!! OMFG I'm going to passout with all this excitement!!

If money is no problem I would like my mildly tuned Toyota 2000GT, it's beautiful yet quite discrete and doesn't look like it is worth many thousands which is important when you live where police sirens are heard more often than you'd want. Being a Toyota it probably wouldn't break down and it would be a great grand tourer and a lot of fun to drive on winding roads, if I had a driving license...

I want the rest of my life to be a rather long period of time, so I'd go for the Volvo C30

GT-R R35 or the M5. A Mpowered estate would be my most wanted but isn't in the game.

If I was judging it by the place I lived in, I would more than likely simply go for a Volkswagen Golf I GTI. Why? Because it does everything. Or I could get a V, which does the same but bigger.

Toyota Supra RZ, Toyota Celica GT-FOUR (of any year), Mitsubishi 3000GT VR-4 Twin Turbo, Nissan 300ZX. Any of these in their stock form would be a dream and a recipe for a lot of fun.

I know just wanted to **** with you. :D But just add Monster Truck suspension to it :P and it would be just perfect.

RUF BTR or BMW M3 E92 ;)

Nissan GTR '12 for me. It's a practical yet still is a supercar. It's 4WD so I could use it in crappy weather yet it would still be fun to drive to.

Ford GT
Lamborghini Adventador
Lamborghini Miura SV
Ferrari 458 Italia
Ferrari California(live in Georgia)
To bad I can't by them with real money:(

Hmm this is interesting,

I would have to say:

'89 MX5/Roadster/Miata in yellow! Pop up headlights are my weak spot! ^^

Or

'02 RS4 Avant in Black or Blue, can't resist a German V8 :)

I would like to get a Nissan GT-R R35 2012 Black Edition (or, even the older version). Lets face it, its an amazing car (no matter how many are in the game, lol). Its got 4 seats, so if you have a family, (so long as you don't have more than 2 kids) its a pretty good family car. Its made in Japan, so it will last quite a long time (so long as you do regular maintenance on it, just like any other car). While I'm not sure about its gas mileage, it can't be too terrible can it? (its a V6 right?) lol. If I ever get enough money later in life, this will be the car I buy, unless they somehow make an R36 and its a lot better than the R35. Otherwise, I'd be getting the R35, new or used depending one when I get that much money, lol

The XJ13.

Why? Because I'd be in heaven driving it down aroad in, a sunny day, with my girlfriend next to me. That's one of the most epic moments I can dream of and it could only happen in exactly that sublime and divine machine.

But if you forced me to live in the real world I'd pick an Aventador. Ok, ok, fine, I'll be realistic: Gimme a Mines's R34. Realistic enough? No? Then...a GT-R and I'll be forced to live wishing for that Jaaag... :(

The (in a strong italian accent) AVENTADOR

If it's gonna be a car that I drive daily, I would want something fast but not too fast. Because where I live there isn't many places where I would really be able to run the car like I would want to, so I'd have to go with a lightly modded Skyline R34, or maybe a Silvia S15.
