Which car would you choose in real life?

Shelby Cobra. Obviously original, and no replica.
I figure, when i'm older(in my 50's or so) i would look pretty badass in that car, amongst all the the electric eco cars.

This. 👍

As of today one liter fuel costs €1,80 here in the Netherlands and it's only going up.
So I think I'll have to choose the Leaf or something :(

Lotus Elise. It's cheap and sexy. Only drawback is some space for very large shopping, but wife's family car is there for this :sly:

I would opt for the STI '07 hatchback. It's pretty much good for everything; off roading, snow, camping, and decent track daying.

You can pretty much sleep in it comfortably, hence why I didn't choose the STI sedan.

Gt by Citroën just because its different.

How do you feel about the looks of the car

That car is stunning and I like the engine noise too, even though I know the 458 and the MP4-12C is a better car.

Something that's RWD, is less than 1350 kg, has at least 125 bhp, has good chassis balance, is a 2-door coupe with a trunk, and gets at least 25 MPG is fine in my books.

I'm pretty partial to Nissan and BMW, so probably an S15 Silvia or M3. The M3 '04 is a fantastic drive stock in GT5.

I'd also throw a nod at the Suzuki Swift Sport, which is shockingly great to drive in GT5. Way faster than you'd expect and extremely nimble handling for a FF car.

I was talking to a friend around a month ago and he asked by pretty much the same question - he started the conversation by asking if I was considering getting rid of my RX-8 and what I would replace it with. My response - Golf GTI. A month later I still feel the same way.

The Jaguar XJ13 :) I would then be the owner of the only example ever produced by Jaguar. Not being able to drive it on the road wouldn't matter, just find a nearby track and enjoy, providing it meets the noise restrictions imposed. Hell, I would enjoy it just sitting in my garage :D

Reading the OP I'm assuming the car is given to me for free, I just have to maintain it.

In that respect, I pick the 1965 Shelby GT350R. That car is insanely expensive today (one sold at Amelia Island in 2006 for $990,000) and very rare (only 36 made), but if it were given to me, I'd be able to maintain it myself.

Reasons? Firstly, it's a gorgeous automobile. It was also one the few cars of the muscle car era that was fast as hell in a straight line, but could also turn a corner when it needed to without falling on it's face, which it should, as it was built for SCCA competition.

The art morrison vette without a doubt. 1 of a kind & all mine :)

Obviously I'd love a ferrari, but for me, the car I would probably take most in the game is the Maserati Gran Turismo. There is something that does it for me with that car. It has everything that I want. It's sedate, it's stylish, it can go like a stabbed rat when pushed. It's simply the car for all occasions in my opinion.

It's really down to that or a 599

Either one of my favorite cars is fine with me. '12 Nissan GT-R Black edition or a BMW M3 CSL.

If i had enough money then Murcielago LP640, but i dont have so my pick is Evo X or M3 CSL or Impreza '10. Propably Impreza or Evo, love M3:s alot but its RWD and i live in Finland so i think 4WD is better.

The CSL has no Air Conditioning or radio...are you sure?

Someone who lives in my town drives a blacked out Maserati GT...it is quite nice.

Cool thread idea! For years I'd driven older American cars. Some interesting...some not. 85 Mustang GT, the 68 Charger in my avatar, 80 Corvette etc... The GT Series opened my eyes to Japanese Imports and definitely enfluenced my last 3 car choices.

2002 Subaru WRX silver-bought in 2003-sold in 2006 to purchase a...
2003 Honda S2000 black- sold in 2008 to purchase a...
2008 Mitsubishi Evolution GSR silver- perfect car for the time being. Plenty of room for family. Great track car. Runs awesome w/ a tune and catback exhaust. Been perfectly reliable-easy car to maintain. Indeed a "poor man's GTR".

So many cars to choose from!
have to go with the R34 II Nur
others to note, F40 for looks, CSL for handling

RX8 if in low badget, RX7 RE Amemiya (in that same blue) if having more cash.

Shelby cobra or gt350 anyday.

I wonder would cost more than like a Viper to own because you'd have to change the battery every 5 years D: You'd change it like 14 times. Lol

The audi r8, I dont care which model it was lol.

If I had money that wasnt an object... Veyron of course

As much as I love Corvettes and the obvious choice would be one of them, I'd follow the OP and get my hands on a C63 AMG. I mean, what a hell of a car!! The looks, the sound, everything, it drives me nuts and I really wish I could afford one in real life. There's dreaming...

I must go for my Bugatti Veryon 16.4, just because it is so class ahab

Money must not be much of an object in choosing the R8. You'd be lucky to get 3000 miles per set of tires. And you can't just to the local quick lube and get a set. Even a set of tires for the Merc would run $1500+, so you'd probably triple that for the R8.

Ok. So some are choosing more realistic options. My previous options were the M5 E60 and Dodge Viper SRT/10. Not impossible to reach, but definitelly out of budget.

So I'll have to choose the BMW 135i or anything American with a chunky engine. A 2000 Camaro or the Buick GNX.

Who needs those things? You have the best 3.2 surround system in front of you. Air conditioning? Just roll down the window at 155mph and you´ll get all the fresh air you need 👍

I d have to take an alfa 8c , the cool italian styling and v8 would easily out weigh the fact that the dealer would steal my wallet every week when it went for the inevitable electrical repairs ;-)
