The first time I drive this circuit (in GT4, not counting the hundreds of laps in PGR2 and GPL) I'll use an un-modded RWD car. Most likely an S2000, or possibly even the mid-engined NSX-R. Just something not too fast, so that you can get a good feel for the circuit and then slowly cut your times down. My objective will be to get below 8 minutes eventually, then with modified cars, 7 minutes, and then into the 6 minute range.

I wanna take on the ring w/ either some type of Dodge viper, or Mine's skyline. any car w/ at least 400hp would be funn on the ring. anything weaker would probably be boring. well.. it depends on how well the blurr effects give us a sense of speed. Still, it doesnt sound like fun taking 9 minutes to complete 1 lap

You are kidding right? Did you see amar212's lap with a low powered BMW? Advice; donload a ringvid (http://www.fastdrive.org) and play it side-by-side amar's video. How can you be bored for 9minutes??? PD's work is amazing if you see them both!

im amused by the number of people who think they are going to get into the eights pretty easily.

understand this. in comparison to the pro drivers who can make it there in 8 minutes in a well sorted car, YOU ARE A HACK. walter rohl (porsche test driver) and company have driven the 'ring numerous times and had/ have lengthy race careers behind and ahead of them. if youre some high school kid, some IT guy at your job, or a cart pusher or a nurse or whatever, you really dont have the skills to be a race car driver. which is why you aren't.

im not dissing anybody or trying to rain on anybodies parade. just trying to tell you that if the simulation of the track is as close as they say it is, be prepared to spend a lot of time in front of your tv trying to get below 8 minutes. fortunately it's a game; pushing too fast and going over the edge is not going to introduce you to mr armco. G forces are not going to be acting on you. reaching tire adhesion and suspension limits is only going to make the car react badly. its not hastening your impending introduction to mr g reaper.

do us all a favor and dont go to the real 'ring and try to out do the pros. they are pros and youre not for a reason. i shouldnt have to spell it out for you and tell you you suck.



that said, im probably gonna first go in the fiat 500. a car i can handle and even in real life, wouldnt get me in trouble at the thing.
