By the looks of things I would say that it is going to be sprayed plastic.....as metal would be expensive and may be dangerous (heat, electrics etc)......although it may have aluminium trim here and there! 👍

I'm torn between all 3 at the moment, although slightly more towards the white or black. It just depends which works best in my games room White would look great and would stand out so when people walk into the room they get smacked around the face by it's presence. Black suits the tv + stand better but, because it blends in more so will be less conspicuous.

i love black and white, the white looks so innocent but its so powerful, Black looks very sleek tho. Ill likely get black because dirt shows up on white easier. The silver looks good to tho

I really like the look of it in white. But it's interesting that they're mass producing it in 3 colors, instead of just a limited run like the colored PS2s.

I am having some trouble trying to choose between the silver and black one. I would pick the silver one by for sure, but if the black one have the actual glossy black car color to it..then it would be the black. I hope the black isnt like the black on the PS2...

I want the white one. Black and silver actually looks better to me, but Sony not giving us(in the U.S.) the white PS2 has given me some kind of complex.

It's strange that everyone is going for the black one, when I doubt it really looks that glossy under normal lights in your house.

As for the plastic or metal I don't think Sony would take the risk or making metal ps3's, it would create a lot of problems for the gamer in the future. Being metal would also make it extra heavy, unless they used Titanium as it is strong as steel but is less than half its weight... but I see it as being plastic with a glossy finish.

I think silver is the way to go, that way it can match the TV, DVD, cabinet - pretty much everything around it.
The black will most likely be the same as the PS2 black, which is boring now, and the white would be too hard to keep clean.

Silver all the way. (If they made an alloy version that would be cool, as would a riced up, neon version mentioned earlier. That way my console can match my NFSU2 car... )
