Hi,

So, which European country do you believe makes the best cars? I personally think the UK because Jaguars, Aston-Martins, Land Rovers all possess THE best stying both interior and exterior of their kind. Gorgeous lines and copius amounts of leather and burled walnut make me happy!:sly:

Then there's Lotus, MG, Triumph, etc. They also possess a unique style and and unmatched performance and driving fun - they're like second skins!

Just stay away from rain clouds if you have a convertible!:)

Germany, no doubt.

Germany, period of all periods of periods of forever.

You can also transfer that to the world scale - they win the Solar System.

But since this thread will soon become the "Ultimate Patriot's Lounge of My Dad is Better Than Yours", I'm out of here ;)

Germany (if they had all the manufacturers available in the game), since we don't, Italy is the best bet.

Ah damn!, how do i remove my poll, i didn't see UK on it as i don't see it as european lol but i know it is :/

EDIT:

I agreed germany make the best cars. but british cars are unique and stylish, its a bit of both really.

HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA

You can enjoy a British car IF it starts! My god those cars are even bigger crap then those build in France!

Germany, absolutely no doubt,

I would have to go with Germany also. Very good durability. I have owned alot of british cars, and although good looking and best interiors, they were plagued by problem after problem..

Is this for cars in GT5 or in real life?

Germany. Period.

There is something special about a country that still has a few public roads without speedlimits. :)

Yours Truly, 270 kph, BMW M6, Autobahn, Perfectly LEGAL 👍

That may be true, but with the help of a block heater for a cold Canadian winter, we can make ANY car start! And British cars have come a LONG way from the horrible British Leyland days of the '70s! At least the ones that are left!:sly:

I personally find German cars to be a little stoic and lacking charisma and personality, both in game and real life... very technically advanced and built to be bulletproof yes, but those values are not the most important for me!

Is this for cars in GT5 or in real life?

It can be either or - it doesn't change my answer!:)

It can be either or
No, it can't be. You're in the GT5 forum, so it must be about the cars that are in GT5.

Reality: Germany

Imagination: America!🤬 yeah!

I've worked with those crappy cars for 5 years, and even a brand spanking new Jag stopped working when it rains, or it makes you feel like you have no roof on your car. leaky bastards.

Beautiful yes, reliable no no no no no

Define best?

My favourite car is british, but then i do love italian cars, as a child i loved Porsche and later the Mclaren F1. Germany made many advances in technology that make cars what they are today, britain is the leading country in Formula 1 development and the Mclaren F1 changed the way supercars were thought of. Ferrari are the premier supercar company, they define the beauty and passion of cars and motor racing.

How do you choose? those 3 are the most important, in my opinion. But since i am british, I obviously voted britain.

No, it can't be. You're in the GT5 forum, so it must be about the cars that are in GT5.

OK - GT5 cars it is then! Does that change YOUR answer?:)

But, we're in GT5. Cars don't leak or break down or fall apart.

as a child i loved Porsche
Not in GT5, so have no bearing on the poll.

Depends on what your definition of "best" is. Style? Speed? Build quality? Value for money?

Italy has some of the most beautiful cars - think Lamborghini, Pagani, Masserati, Ferrari, Alfa Romeo etc. But you wouldn't necessarily want to race them.

Germany has some of the best technical cars - Audi, BMW, Mercedes. But they can be quite dull and conservative in their design.

Sweden has... erm, the Saab 900 Turbo and some dull Volvos.

But (and I'm biased here) I think Britain has the greatest array of iconic cars : Aston Martin, TVR, Lotus, M.G., Mini, Jaguar, Jensen. They have individuality, which I like.

But, we're in GT5. Cars don't leak or break down or fall apart.

Not in GT5, so have no bearing on the poll.

Ruf are modified Porsche cars. Also, unless you failed to read the thread, there was no mention of GT5, if that means you want to lock the thread?

Depends on the car. If you want a cheap peasant run about the French, if you want a fairly mundane, less reliable than a Japanese car but with a badge the Joneses will be impressed by the Germans, if you want a car with some style and have decent breakdown cover the Italians and if you want something which has some class & comfort but isn't really from the country it's pretending to be then the UK.

When each of these countries tries to make something that the other is good at that is where they fall down. UK manufacturers never built decent peasant cars, the UK was capable of building them but they had to have a Nissan or Honda badge on them :)

Germany or Sweden, I love German cars, especially Porsche!

Germany by a long stretch over Italy.

For looks, I'd have to pick the UK. For everything else, I'd pick Germany. Sweden gets an honourable mention because I like Volvo's. :D

But, we're in GT5. Cars don't leak or break down or fall apart.

Not in GT5, so have no bearing on the poll.

That was defined after my post!

Now, without the break down or leaky rooftops, I have to say :

I can't decide!

Did you really ask that question? Though the Italian ones are great in design and also performance, those are cars I most probably will be able to drive (except Fiat and Alfa). So clearly Germany. Those Audis are in my opinion the most beautiful and performing cars built at the moment. I mean station wagons you can hunt Porsches with, anyone?

England make/made the best cars ;)

Ruf are modified Porsche cars. Also, unless you failed to read the thread, there was no mention of GT5, if that means you want to lock the thread?
Gemballas are modified Porsches. Rufs are Rufs. But we're not going to ahve this argument again.

That was defined after my post!
We are in the GT5 forum, not the cars in general forum, therefore any discussion of this subject must be constrained to GT5 cars only.

Why, Sweden of course. :sly:

Edit: Although it really in truth is Germany.

Italy for me, they capture the passion of the car. The heat and soul, just look at the older Ferraris, even the newer ones look great. Alpha IS the soul motoring and the 8C is esthetic perfection.
