Did they ever fix the sound of the two JGTC cars (Woodone Supra and Nakata NSX) from GT4:P prologue when they sounded awesome compared to GT4 where they sounded awful?

Get the GT500 stealth GTR

go delete your game data

start the game, DONT PATCH IT

the car has no engine sound / exhaust sound. all you can hear is the transmission. its crazy. its like an electric car. they patched it eventually but i remember when I first got the game, the sound tripped me out. i was like "so this is why its called a stealth" :P

I gotta try that...

For me personally the Amemiya RX-7, esp. its idle sound  There's also a couple more like some of the Super GTs.

Also, there are many other threads with the same topic. Take overheating's post 👍

Jag XJ13 for me, damn that thing rumbles like a post coital lion rolling in catnip!!

Also any stealthy, 'specially the 787B :)

As noted previously the Ford mark IV is great. The new premium carts sound awesome from the chase cam at high rpm,s too. 13000 rpm from a 125cc sounds fantastic. 👍

Ford MK IV

That.

Failing that, Murcielago LP670, LFA, 787B, CT230R/Roadster TC/Atenza Touring Car/any other car that can get the same sound as aforementioned with exhaust mods or any racing Impreza/most Imprezas with a racing exhaust/458 Italia with Sports Exhaust (which is completely unfitting but w/e).

Triumph Spitfire with all engine modifications and titanium racing exhaust. Don't install the FC transmission though unless using the car for serious racing as the transmission whine will drown out the wonderful engine burble from mid range rpm on.

Just out of curiosity here - is everyone in this thread basing their opinions on the sound in cockpit or bumper cam? Many cars sound pretty great in external views - including roof/hood and behind the car - but have anemic sound in cockpit and bumper views.

Having excellent external car sound is completely pointless if I'm never going to hear them outside of replays.
I do agree with many of the suggestions in this thread though, based on cockpit cam.

I think my own current favourites are probably the GT500 GT-R models.

The Mazda 787B has a unique sound and it's great to hear, and I personally prefer the sound of the Jaguar XJR-9 and XJ13, sort of rattling.
