Which of these bass shakers should I get? (AuraSound/Dayton/ADX)

Hi guys,
Getting started with sim games (already have Elite: Dangerous, eyeing up Assetto Corsa and Dirty Rally) and building a cockpit; I'd like to get 4x bass shakers to use with SimVibe/X-Sim in Chassis Mode. I've seen a recommendation for the ADX shakers although I'm uncertain about their price - is it worth it? I've yet to buy more equipment (seat, frame materials, HOTAS, SimVibe, HDMI-Displayport adapter) and I'd like to keep the total cost below $300 if possible.
* 4x Aurasound AST-2B-4 Pro - $170.00
* 4x Dayton Audio BST-1 High Power Pro - $119.60
* 4x ADX Maximus - $258.88
Existing equipment:
* PC (i7-2600K, 12GB DDR3)
* GPU: Windforce GTX 970: 1x HDMI-out, 2x DVI-out, 3x DisplayPort-out
* Motherboard: ASRock Z68 Pro3-M, has optical SPDIF output
* Oculus Rift + Touch + 3 sensors - apparently the Rift has its own internal sound controller, so can I use the MoBo's sound controller for the shakers?
* Some 7.1-channel AV receiver from an old Hi-Fi setup - will double check the model at home. Is this sufficient to replace a dedicated amp?
* Logitech DFGT wheel + shifter(up/down) + pedals

What shakers should you get from the list, and stay under $300.

The short answer is the cheapest (Dayton Audio BST-1). The trick to tactile immersion is placement of the transducers so that they can be felt by the body and isolation of the Rig from the floor to assist with not losing the tactile transducers energy to the floor. Isolation of the Rig is achieved with something like the “ButtKicker RDB-120 Riser Stage and Raised Floor Kinetic Isolator”.

Can you use your motherboard’s sound controller for the shakers & the 7.1-channel AV receiver from an old Hi-Fi setup?

The short answer is only if each (the motherboard’s sound controller & 7.1-channel AV amp) can truly provide “FOUR” channels. At its most basic, a 4 channel amp can be used to power two pairs of full-range speakers. That is a dedicated 4 "channels" per say for SimVibe (Front Right tire, Front Left tire, Rear Right tire, Rear Left tire).

The long answers are in these threads below. Please read them. They will answer EVERYTHING that you could ask.

Cheers & good luck!

Receiver model, is Yamaha Aventage RX-A3060, the motherboard spec tells me it supports 7.1 channel output using the Realtek ALC892 codec, so would I be able to use the SPDIF output on the MoBo into the AV receiver? Or even HDMI as I hear it's uncompressed that way. I've been hearing a lot of to and fro between the Daytons and the Aurasounds.

Just a note: I've posted this one question in different places to get a wider response:

Update: there's a guy here on Facebook marketplace selling Buttkicker BKA 130-C amps, $35 each. How safe is it to buy 2nd-hand amps? I've yet to find out the condition/age of these amps. Would these be decent for an entry-level setup?

Wow, Buttkicker BKA 130-C amps, $35 each! If they are in good condition, buy them fast! Buy them all, or at least four (4).

$120 was a great buy! And since they are rated at 45 watt RMS @ 4 ohms each, they should, 1) keep you within your budget, 2) work well with either the AuraSound, Dayton or ADX. Great buy!

Now, for that other question;

Q: Receiver model, is Yamaha Aventage RX-A3060, the motherboard spec tells me it supports 7.1 channel output using the Realtek ALC892 codec, so would I be able to use the SPDIF output on the MoBo into the AV receiver?

A: “As far as I know”, SPDIF is out of the question. You must use Mini-Jack 3.5mm cables from your sound-card, to your amplifier. You must have either one amplifier with four dedicated channels, 2 amplifiers with two dedicated channels each, or four one channel amplifiers. You now have the latter, the Buttkicker BKA 130-C amps, each amplifier will handle a tire (Front Right tire, Front Left tire, Rear Right tire, Rear Left tire)

Q: Or even HDMI as I hear it's uncompressed that way. I've been hearing a lot of to and fro between the Daytons and the Aurasounds.
