Hi everyone. I`m planning to buy a Playseat. I have 3 to choose from:
Speedmaster V2.0, Raceroom Home Simulator RR100 from TSeats and Playseat Evolution. Which one would you recommend?

I own a playseat evolution.

Though it's fun to drive there are some small "bugs".
The steering wheel is mounted on a "pipe" that runs down between your legs (in front of the seat). It can be in the way for pedal use.
The seat itself gets a little uncomfortable after a while.

Quality however is good, nothing to complain about.
And you can fold the chair when not in use :)

Optional assecoires:
-seat glider (to quickly adjust the seat)
-plate te mount the pedals little to the left or right
-shift holder (positioned next to the seat, at leg-height

I also use a Playseat Evo + G27 setup and the center post is a minor issue during braking. gas and clutch is fine.

You can simply move the pedals slightly to the left, working fine - with T500 pedals, that is.

Apart from that I think the PlaySeat is fine but the seat itself is not very comfortable. It's pretty easy to fit a real bucketseat onto it, tho (see my thread, link in signature). If you're really eager to get something that doesn't require modding at all I'd go for an rSeat Evo as riverfiver suggested.

Thanks Mr. S
I was only worried about the pedals, but if everyone says it`s not a mayor problem, I might go for the EVO. Cause I don`t really want to spend much more than 300€.
My 2nd choice would have been the speedmaster, but that doesn`t look that stable. Advantage is that you have free access to pedals.

Why won't you take FANATEC CSL Seat/Rinoseat GTR instead. Price is about the same. No centrepole. They say it should be very comfortable, have yet to try it out myself when it arrives.
Have used Playseat Evo myself for 1,5 years. I didn't mind the centrepole, but have to agree, it isn't that comfy if playing longer sessions. The other thing I didn't like is the seat making noise (metal rubbing metal).

@kiwi does the" pipe " disturb you much using the clutch or are you getting used to it?

As mentioned above: just minor disturbance for braking.
I don't use the clutch at all, I always shift using the paddles.
*may be I can make the clutch pedal the brake pedal and leave the centre pedal for what it is*

I have a Playseat Evolution and the center post does impact the use of your pedals, especially if you use a clutch. You may be able to position the pedals to make it work, but you have to work around that center post. Another issue with the Playseat Evo is that the pedal deck is in a fixed position so you cannot adjust the rake of your pedals. These shortcomings resulted in me buying an Rseat Evo, which is an excellent rig. If I were you, I would wait until I could get a better rig.

I love my Playseat Evo, center post is not a problem for me cause I'm only moving my foot. (not my entire leg) In fact with the center post being there it helps my foot play remain relaxed in frantic situations... The 3 choices you have are good you can't lose either way...

Had a look at the Fanatec CLS, looks good. Sold out atm. Might go for this one. No "pipe" and reasonable priced.
Thanks everbody for your help. Much appreciated 👍

How do you know it's sold out? Did you ask them? They just started to produce them few weeks ago and are waiting for first shipment in few days.

Had the Evo for some years. as a LFB the pole didn´t do much harm. It was just one of many irritation points like the seat with the bar pressing against the back and the aluminium that give way if you use stiffer brake pedals then G27 stock. The pedal plate, Also the G25 shifter plate that didn´t really work for my G25 shifter??? Impossible to get it into a decent position. However got use of that as a buttkicker gamer holder instead.

It sure works semi okay for something like a G27. Certainly a lot better then a desktop setup. I am not at all sure it would do as well with my current T500RS though. I would look more for alternatives if I wanted a backup cockpit for my living room that I could hide more easilly then my main cockpit.

CLS may be a better design it looks like to me. It´s the follow up of the renorino seat or what it was called if you want something semi portable. Otherwise don´t save up on steel I say. It´s very special driving in a cockpit that don´t flex anywhere no matter what :)

It said so on the homepage, but I know it will be available shortly :sly:

What about the obutto ozone ?

Well it costs 100€ more than he would like to spend, but of course you'll get more with that money (monitor stand, keyboard/mouse tray, adjustable seat), whether you need them or not.

I have a Playseat and it has served me well but I personally am looking forward to maybe purchasing the RSeat EVO3. I did notice the "CNT Racing Simulator" which is pinned to the top of board that is priced really reasonably and is built without a center post.

How about this one? I really wanted this back when i got my Playseat, but they didn't sell them outside the USA :(

It looks quite sturdy and there should be no problems getting to the pedals.. not like the Playseat I ended up bying in 2007 coz it was the only option outside of the USA.. that one i had to weld a support-bar on to keep the wheelplate from flopping all over the place..

If it needs to be adjustable, the playseat is an option.
You have to buy a seat glider with it though, but once installed you can slide the seat forwards and backwards, just like in a real car.
Of course, you can adjust the wheel and pedals, but a slider is much more handy :)
