Sports for street cars, Racing for race cars. Simple enough. Though I drive street cars more often then race cars so I would have to say Sport tires.

Neither. For pure enjoyment (I don't truly enjoy race cars, so I won't comment on what tires I use for them), I tend to steer toward comfort tires.

sports soft for street cars but if I want to get a good time from one I will go on to race tyres

why are comforts left out? street cars should have comforts, race cars sports, 620pp plus race tyres.. hate joining a room to find out its 550pp with race tyres..

My votes for Comfort Soft and Sports Hard - great tyres to feel on the limit, even with super sports and racing cars. Not to mention loads of fun. 👍 And it must be said, both compounds a huge leap over the GT5 versions. The racing tyres in GT6, not so keen; hard to feel where the limit is and they don't feel as 'sharp' as they should in terms of slip angle. For my money, slip curve also seems a bit too steep on the drop-off.

Comforts on stock road cars

Maybe sports hards on some higher power cars

Nothing more than race hards on race cars - More often I'll put sports softs on lower/medium powered cars.

Whatever the car comes with from the dealership which would typically be Comfort soft and Sport hard, in the main. Like @Stotty I have also downgraded some of the "race" cars to Sport soft as it just seems to feel better and never use anything other than RH when race tyres are appropriate.
