so, I saved up some money (8 mill), and I want to know, should I buy an Audi R10 race car, a Mazda 787B, one of the peugeot race cars, or save up a little more and buy the Ford GT40 racecar in the OCD?

If you want an easier car to drive go with the Peugot. If you want a more challenging car to trove with great sound and cockpit view go with the Mazda. All in all I would take the Mazda any day.

I have the Audi R10 and the 787B. I love both cars to be honest with you. I recently fine tuned my audi and boy it sure handles amazing! I still have to fine tune my mazda but, the thing about the mazda that won me over was its 4 rotary engine sound!(The sound of a born champion!) Well, all in all i think you should borrow those cars that you are looking for with a friend.

Best wishes,

Audi R10 is a let down. Mazda is amazing, 908 good and both are premium, BUT, BMW LMR is as good as both and Peugeot 905 better than all of those if you can find one.

Mazda. Hard to put my finger on why I like it so much, I guess it's the brap brap brap, and the urge to gain complete control over it during a race. Plus it looks pretty cool imo.

Although.. the FAP is cool for that reason alone. Would still say the Mazda. (Not got the R10)

as I acheive more money, i have a followup question: are the ferrari F1 cars worth the money?

If you're lucky, you'll win both F1 cars from the tickets you are given for completing the Extreme Series A and B-Spec.

I'd pick the Mazda 787B. It's a very capable car and it'll get you a long way in GT5.

Edit: Didn't see you already bought a 787B. Good choice!

Endurance Series completion gives you the level 24 tickets, not Extreme Series.

Also the R10 is a prize car, and honestly one of the slowest in it's class. Check on a race that it's in, like Indy or LE Mans--it always ends up near the back of the pack. Audi Shoulda stuck with a gas engine instead of a diesel!

Same question only I have 5mil..

I have

Minolta
R89
Judd Hybride
R10 TDI
787B
PD F1

Considering the amounts of money now available in this game, I'm surprised people still ask these kinds of questions.

The other day I bought an X2010* (it was the last premium car left to buy) which left me on zilch cash. After about 2 hours I'm back up to 10 mil. from golding the drift trials and running Supercar Eifel a few times.

Having said that, if you intend to approach A spec progressively, avoid buying cars you can win as prizes. You can easily check this site to find out what they are.

*I ignored my own advice here - you can win the car by golding all the Vettel challenges - but I was bored and wanted to my bank balance anyway.

If you want a higher top speed, buy the 908. If you want a cool engine sound, buy the 787B. Both cars are awesome.👍👍

okay, I bought the 787B, and I'm very pleased, except I don't think the sound of it is that great. The Zonda R sounds much better.

At full revs it's monotonous but when you leave it on idle its like a Hell is gargling nails. Well worth every one of those 5,200,000 CR price.

👍👍👍👍👍👍👍👍

for MAZDA 787B how do you guys drive this thing? it seems that the engine is so powerful and revs too high for H shifting. But i believe its really an fully manual car. Im using a G27 wheel.

👍 Grind a bit more & just get both. They're both great. 👍

P.S. If you come across the Audi R8, get it. Although it's not a premium, it's also a gem.

As a GT5 (A-spec) Pro, and an owner of all of the cars you show in the top of the thread, i must saythe following about each car.

908 HDi FAP: Fun to drive, tons of torque, great sound, cheapest, most power, most torque, only 6-speed of group.
Reccomended tuning setup: RS tires, Stg 3 turbo, Trans. set to TS 249, Oil change: 894 hp, 992 lb/ft torque.

Mazda 787B: slightly underpowered, Don't like the sound:grumpy:, understeery, wierd looking, 5-Speed, most expensive. This one is my least favorite.
Reccomended tuning setup: RS tires, Stg 3 turbo, Trans. set to TS 249, Oil change: 824 hp, 5xx lb/ft torque (dont remember torque exactly)

Audi R10: Tail happy, torquey, only open LMP, Deisel (doesnt get deisel fuel econ/ range though), 5-speed. Middle in terms of torque (high-800 range), lowest power of LMP's (789), and middle in expense.
Reccomended tuning setup: RS tires, Stg 3 turbo, Trans. set to TS 242, Oil change: 789 hp, 88x lb/ft torque.

And the Alternate:
Ford GT40 RC: Old, very low power, sounds off balance, too expensive even at half price, oversteery, barely hits 200 at the Ring. on the straight.
Reccomended tuning setup: RS tires, Stg 3 turbo, Trans set to TS 228, Oil change: 575 hp, 5xx lb/ft torque

Conclusion:
1st: 908 HDi FAP: Most power, most torque, least expensive, 2nd heaviest
2nd: R10: 2nd lightest, 2nd least power, open cockpit, worst tranny (a 5-speed in a state of the art race car?).
3rd: 787B: Terrible sound, least torque, lightest, most expensive of LMP cars, worst looking, sounding, and turning.
4th: GT40 RC: least power, 2nd least torque, heaviest, waste of money (10 mil!)

Reccomendation: See Conclusion #1
