This is my first Forza game I have been playing Horizon 2 but they are both different. Ill start with the standard edition and see if i like it. Not sure what to excpect in this game.

Ultimate, ordered, looking forward to playing early. I like Project Cars, but the car selection is too limited for me.

I checked on the xbox fm6 version and it's totally not worth it for 450 euro! When you can find a new xbox for 300 to 350 (with 1 game). I will prefer getting a normal xbox and the collector's edition. It will cost about the same and you trade of 500 gb of hard disk space (which I don't need) for collector's edition!

About the HDD you'll be surprised how quickly it fills up with just 500Gb, Forza 6 by itself will easily eat a quarter of available space.

I only plan to play Forza games and 1 tb hdd costs 60 euro (if that time comes to upgrade)

That is exactly why I went with a 2TB external hd. If he is only buying Forza games then the 1tb should last a while.

With backward compatibility already in effect, I am really glad I went with the 2 TB. I will be using that BC feature a LOT and will be downloading most of the 360 bc games digital. I already have 5 or 6 360 bc games and will have several more next week when Rare Replay releases.

I've got the two proper Forzas, F&F standalone, and PCARS on my 500gb. It's over a third full. It's entirely possible it won't be enough for all the remaining Forzas, once you take into account updates, photos, liveries, and tunes (but mostly the first two).

Yep, got myself a 1Tb external for cheap, stock HDD is simply not enough when every game had to be installed and a lot of AAA games are stretching the limits of bluray.

Several games have exceeded the blu ray limit. That's why they have a separate, day 1, download. Its becoming a common practice to download the mp day 1 separate from the disc.

Its another reason I am leaning more and more toward digital. Then you get the advantage of pre-loading a game a week or two in advance. Some games are climbing near 75+ gb per game.

If you decide to order now or already did between July, make sure you get the rewards credits which is on-going this month from Xbox Rewards under Racing Rewards. Below the Racing Rewards is another for pre-ordering, basically 15,000 credits back ($15), so consider all these when ordering.

Dang I always forget about those reward credits. I already pre-ordered and paid off the game. So its probably too late for me. I also pre-ordered an paid off Rare replay but don't have any points. I am clearly not doing it right.

10th of September
Cant wait. I will plan on taking off the 11th paid.

Same. I've cancelled my console pre-order since the hype has died down a lot for me.

It's never too late.

For the pre-orders, I believe it's 10 days after its shipped you should see it (assuming you are part of the rewards program to begin with). I also pre-ordered Rare Replay along with Halo 5 on the Microsoftstore.com so I expect those credits.

For the Race one, if you did it between July as noted on the site, then you should get it.
I got the Ultimate edition and paid it off. So far, I received the 3,000 for this.
I still am waiting for the second point to award me 2,000 credits, the over $20 for DLC, which I clearly did, but not showing up. So I posted on the XBox Rewards forums.

If any issues, post on the Xbox Rewards forums to get your points.

Thanks a lot for the info. I have been part of the preview program for a while and only last week signed up for the rewards program.

I wasn't sure if those rewards show up right away, or until after the game comes out. I also purchased several BC games and still don't have points. I will keep an eye on it and if I continue to not receive points then I will post on the forums. Thanks again.

Pre-ordered the Standard Edition from Amazon yesterday. September can't come soon enough.

Just bit the bullet and preordered the Ultimate. Even with all the goodies included 110 € seems a bit steep, but B/WTCC and that McLaren M8 (and Lime Rock!) sold me.

Hopefully they won't make me regret my choice at Gamescom today After Gamescom, I am definitely happy with my choice.

I bit the bullet and bought the Ultimate back on the 31st, after seeing something about some sort of Microsoft Rewards. Didn't really read into that more thoroughly, so don't think I got anything extra with my purchase. I'm only hoping we can download the game starting the end of this month, if only so I can split the download between two month's bandwidth limits, if FM5's size is any indication.

I've pre-ordered the std edition on disc and the plan is/was to get all the extras from the xbox store
to top it up to ultimate

I'm going to look into the economics of that and see how it stacks. Maybe the digital ultimate edition
will prove to be the better bet

They usually allow us to pre-load digital games at least 1-2 weeks in advance. Then as soon as midnight hits the night of release, its ready to play.

Since it looks more economical to buy the whole showbang at once, I'll be wasting my dough on the Ultimate "*rip-off*" Edition, oops, I mean, you know what I mean.
If I'm gonna be disappointed, might as well be at the top of disappointments. :dopey:
I just hope that use/downloads of Liveries/Tunings are more appropriately rewarded, unlike the 1000cr$ in the previous 2 games. (FM5-FH2).

Game stop put out the VIP pass and 6 car pack dlcs so if you get all three it'll be $108 plus tax. That's what I'll be doing.

Perhaps this has been asked somewhere, but I can't find any info.

Q: What are the advantages and extra rewards given to us if we buy the Ultimate Digital Edition, compared to buying the
Standard (disc) Edition and then buying the VIP and Car Pack. ? :boggled:

Q: Are the graphics of the Digital Edition any better than the Disc Edition?

TY.

Graphics won't be any different. From what I've been able to gather here in the UK...

FM6 game disc - £50
VIP - £15*
Car Pass - £25*

* these are FM5 prices and I'm sure they'll be no cheaper for FM6. That's a total of £90

Digital Ultimate here is £81.99, so a saving of nearly £10

On top of that however, with the Digital Ultimate you get the Fast n Furious car pack, the
10 year anniversary car pack and the 2016 Mazda MX5

If you do the currency conversion for your country, I daresay you'll find that the Digital
Ultimate edition is the way to go for value

TY RacerPaul
The bonus F&F car pack is worth the difference. :dopey:
And also, there's no risk of Disc Damage with the Digital download. :nervous:
I'm gonna break my piggy bank and count all the coins. I hope there's $113 (Canadian fund$). :p
If my wife finds out, I'm ..... gonna be living under a bridge soon. :D
Ultimate Digital Edition = $99.95 + 13% tax.
Darn Canadian Dollar keeps depreciating.

OK according to this when pre ordering you can get 15,000 credits back but also you can get some for each game you buy. These are only valid if you are a gold member and registered in the rewards program from what I understood. Pretty helpful for people who are going to preorder the game (myself included)!
