I bought a PS2 for GT3
I bought an Xbox for Forza
I bought an Xbox 360 for Forza 2
I bought a PS3 for GT5

I bought Bleem for GT1, too. :)

I should have taken up PC racing sims long ago. I could have saved a fortune!
 
I bought a PS2 for GT3 and, when deciding on either a PS3 or XBox a little over a year ago, the ability to play GT5 pretty much made me decide on the PS3. (After the glitch I just had with a game freeze at the end of the race, among other things, now I'm thinking I should get an XBox. Nah.).
 
2 Weeks before release: PS3 slim
1 Week before release: Projector
Day of release: GT5
Day after release: 2nd control for the wife.
Total cost: 8000 元（RMB)/ 800 pound sterling.
(An expensive month!)
 
Bought mine 3 years ago. Great game, nice to know it compatible with the G25.
 
Just got my GT5 and PS3 last week. Had been playing GT4 w/ PS2 since it came out.
 
I did, I know about GT series alot and I buyed PS3 as soon as it was released.. pity.. GT5 was very, very long wait, but now who cares?! Im flying my way out in this game.. this is pure awesomness!!!
 
i always knew the ps3 was the better machine but xbox seemed to have a lot more games but i still stuck with the ps3 for gt5 so i would say about 75% of the reason for getting the ps3 was because of GT5
 
bought a 160slim last year thinking gt5 was only months away.... but had other games to play plus i use it as a blu ray player......
 
Got my Signature Edition last week for 133 € and this Thursday I finally had to get a PS3 because I couldn't stand the negative vibes on GTP any longer and had to see for myself if GT5 is any good. 320GB slim with 2 games for 320€.

I'm bloody loving this game to pieces. First and foremost the driving is spot on. The challenges are fun, even the Lotus TG One. B-spec is Fun to watch, too. The chromeline Murcielago is totally bonkers.

Worth every Cent I spent and I didn't even have time to set up my G25 yet nor try Dirt2 or Uncharted2 which came As part of the bundle.

Seriously so much hate here for such a brilliant driving experience.
 
I had a choice between Xbox 360 and FM3 or PS3 and GT5. This was at the time of FM3 release. I chose to wait for GT5, but bought a PS3.

I'm very happy with my PS3, but on reflection, GT5 shouldn't have been the deciding factor. I'm in the 7/10 camp, and think I have better racing games on my console than this.
 
I bought my PS 3 like a month before GT5 prologue was released, because i thought it was the full GT5 just around the corner.

Anyhow I have since then played a lot of great games. MGS4, Uncharted 1&2. Fifa series, FF13, Il2, Ferrari & Supercar Challenge, and lots more, so all in all i never regret buying my PS3.

And now we finaly have GT 5, although i am a litle bit disapointed with some of it. Especially the online but hopefully we will get a patch with XP & credits.
 
Still waiting till 25th for ps3 and 26th for gt5. You can chalk me up as one of the yes reply for this.
 
Bought a PS2 for GT3, then earlier this year bought a PS3 for GT5.

i did, about 3 years ago.
picked up some very excellent games along the way, but had it not been for the promise of GT5, i would've just got a regular ol' blu-ray player.

I did pretty much, yeah lol.

Back in February 2009. There were rumours GT5 was going to be released soon but it never happened until a few weeks ago. Played Prologue for a few months until I convinced myself it was just an extended demo and would play Forza 3 on my 360 until the full game came out.

I absolutely LOVE GT5 👍

Me too. I bought it one year ago after PD announced its release date. Of course, I had waited for one year for the delay.
 
I contemplated buying a PS3 earlier when GT Prologue came out but ended up waiting for GT5 instead. I ended up buying a PS3+Move bundle for $349 and GT5 separately.

+1 That was when I had the fat PS3. I got bored with GT5P and sold it within a month. Later sold fat PS3 since GT5 was delayed so many times. Now I have the slim and Logitech wheel.
 
I bought the ps3 + prologue bundle, I love gaming on it though and using it for media centre.
 
I have made three of my good friends buy three PS3s to play GT5 online with me.

Hahahaha.
 
I bought a 80GB PS3 back in 2008 when GT 5 Prologue was released. Later I sold it that same year (The console and the game).

Then ff to 2010, bought a Slim 160GB and got the CE. Quite content with it. Playing with a DS3.
