Racing, via online. IMO, that is the main game. It's the only reason I'd put the disc in my PS3, and the only reason I bought GT5 anyway. If for some reason, online permanently went down, I'd either do free runs from time to time or use the disc as a frisbee. I'm being serious when I see either beats racing in A-Spec.

To be fair, I think it'd be like if you were using the disc as a frisbee and then realized it didn't make a very good frisbee at all and you then decided you hated the game because you couldn't play frisbee with it.

People were using an exploit in the game. I couldn't care less personally, but when exploits are fixed, it's a bit inane to start crying about it and saying PD is ruining the game when those exploits weren't supposed to have existed in the first place. Unfortunately in this case the exploits were so widespread (and being used for profit in some cases) that they instituted this trade ban which is affecting everyone.

Not the first time many have been hurt by the actions of a few.

Although I reckon PD didn't quite foresee their gift function would be used as a trading option on such a scale (internet, duh!) I don't see how trading cars could be regarded as cheating, in fact I've received quite a few cars on several types of tickets I already owned I couldn't sell (no value attached, could only dispose of them).
Some of them I traded for other cars worth similar value in the dealerships, a win win situation for both traders.
The 1 million gap implemented now seems a bit arbitrary to be honest, this leaves quite a few cars you win and don't want for whatever reason, unable to sell, trade or even give away to friends.
Hope they at least have thought about this and added value to all cars.

Using the trade feature is playing the game properly. Duping cars is not. Trading isn't pointless. They built the feature for a reason. Limiting it's potential is not a proper fix. I would love to unload the X1 I just got from reaching B-Spec 35 since I already have the same one from the Vettel Challenges. But, I can't.

Duping cars is the problem. I don't know what the fix is, but it shouldn't be limiting my game play, because I don't dupe cars. Not the proper way to fix the problem.

I care about trading. There are cars I want that are blatantly overpriced and grinding to get them is beyond ridiculous, even past GT standards.

Who are you to get all moral on me about a game? Game, an activity designed by humans with the sole intention of entertainment. There are only two wrong ways of playing a game: when you spoil your fun, or when you spoil other peoples fun. Duping/trading/whatever didn't affected you at all, did it?

Again, you're no one to impose moral judgements on other people, specially when your arguments are terribly flawed and absolutely ignore other people.
