I see a lot of lobbies set up for tuned road cars only but their almost always using racing softs with tyre deg turned off  Its SO unrealistic IMAO! Use racing hard and u have something that feels a lot more like a simulator ( of course no aids except abs ). The cornering speeds are more lifelike. So if anybody agrees?
Would like to set up some proper races with like-minded racers. Love lambos ford gt etc but on RH:)

Racing tyres of any kind on a road car is unrealistic.

I agree with daan .

But also with teth , not because of realistic but because I don't like very much of RS Tires.

I would like stock tires to be used everywhere , drag , race , in case of drift , CH or CM.

Just I would make the feeling close to real life ? instead of RS

Comfort medium for all stock road cars up to 575pp, comfort soft for any highly tuned road cars, sports hard for factory tuned road cars like Mine's and finally sports soft or racing hard for race cars. These are my preferences, I did compete in couple of races with 370Z Tuned GT Academy at Driversports events, no assists were allowed, no ABS, it has racing hard, a bit too grippy and if I could set the regulation, I would pick sports hard.

Sorry i was asking for people who agree...... But while u mention it if u upgrade say a lambo gallardo with bodykit wing, engine tuning the lot u get a beast thats virtually uncontrollable on stock tyres SH! Its also like you've turned your supercar into a fully fledged racing machine so i would say racing hard are just the right tyre for the performance:)

The max I use for road cars is Sports Softs, anything more it's either a race car, or I'm in a race lobby where tires aren't restricted and therefore I use RS because I don't want a disadvantage either.

It's quite tameable, if you you can drive a fully modded ZR1 on sports Hards around the ring, a AWD Gallardo is nothing. Just ease off the throttle, brake early and more smoothly.

What? Yeah course i see loads of lobbies with 575pp using CM tyres!? sounds like drift setup

This is a message board where people can post their opinions, and people will not always agree. Your question wasn't clear, but I took it you were asking who agrees with you. I posted to give my opinion.

For your Gallardo example, I would use SS.

Before this goes any further i want to clarify that I'm not saying I know how a simulator works compared to real life or that i can drive a real race car (cuz i never have, just road car) and IMAO using RH tyres with Tuned (upgraded) road cars is more realistic than RS with tyre deg off:banghead:
All I'm looking for is some players THAT ACTUALLY PLAY ONLINE and like the sound of these settings say 650pp RH tyres no assist except abs.

Yes I feel there is a time and place for racing tyres, namely race time and on the wheels of a race car but as its possible to tune a road car to race car like specs then race tyres might be necessary, just keep in mind that soft tyres are for softies hard tyres are for hard men. 👍

My gallardo has 713 bhp and 1400 kg , I use SH , problem ?

Yeah so only one small step down from what i said in the first place i would agree on SS or RH cuz there ain't that much difference.

No cuz u ain't fully modded it:) thats 1 slow lambo u got there

I regularly hosted a practice room, usually I made the room with this title : Practice, no ABS, CM

Players who joined my room can use any car, no restriction, except for CM tire and no assist at all. We did have fun track days, believe it or not, some players I met drove tuned Ferrari 458, tuned RUF RGT, Super GT cars and I drove Camaro Z28 RM. The Camaro is very hard to drive, have to be smooth in everything, but it's fun for track days at the 24H Nurb.

I also did an experiment driving a Woodone Supra JGTC, stock with CM tire, no assist, got a sub 2 minute lap at Fuji Speedway F, changed to XJR9 LM premium, same setup, got 1:5x.xxx, slow for CM tire, but it was fun doing it with fellow like minded drivers. Most importantly, it's possible :) Please don't call me crazy, most players who joined my room called me that:ouch:

Ok but thats more of a car test to see which car will get the best purchase from CM. High downforce race cars will always get more out of them than a road car with say.. no front splitter

Take more care over your posts, please.

If there's not much difference, use the sports tires.

A Gallardo with that much power is hardly slow.

:grumpy:

Sorry I just wanted to join in with the general mood of this thread.

It was a simple question directed at the OP.
Is there a problem with that?

I just don't see any reason at all to ask that question. It doesn't matter at all if he maxes out his cars.

I didn't say it did. You're the one who seems to think this. You have a nice day now...

If it doesn't matter, then why ask? That's all I'm trying to figure out. Not sure why you're getting so defensive.

I rarely use RS tires. Maybe sometimes while doing endurance, I'll switch between RH,RM and RS. But I like trying out new stuff, so I tend to try most things on most cars.

It doesn't matter at all if he maxes out his cars.

It does, if he maxes them out then he has more reason to be needing RS tires.

However the OP says that he doesn't use RS because it's unnecessary - but yet he still uses racing tires - which does sound contradicting.

If there so little difference between SS and RH, just use SS - you'll learn to handle the car even more and improve on your driving too.

Why do you care? i don't think of it in terms of tyre class just that the grip increases as you go up. I can and have used SS many times. The reason I proposed using RH was more to find a balance that most will find appealing like the players using RS.

I usually use stock sports tires for cars up to ~550pp, but anything around 600 or above I will go to racing hards
