Who is getting an Xbox One for Forza 6?

I would like to play the Forza series, but I'm still hesitant on getting an XB1, due to that most of my friends are on PS4, and that not many Xbox exclusives interests me besides Forza.

Forza 6 is REALLY tempting...I mean REALLY tempting. If I had money to spend like that I'd buy an Xbone just for that game. It looks crazy good.

I did. In fact, I bought two, but blame Wal Mart for that one. It's actually been a bit of a hassle getting one, and at a decent price.

I've been a GT fan since the very first one came out, but it wasn't enough for me anymore, personally. I wanted some variety. After playing FH2 for a few days, I'm glad I bought a second console. :)

I,m seriously thinking about it
Been a loyal Playstation user from the very 1st Gran Tourismo game ( i own all of them including the prologues and even Tourist Trophy ) but my loyalty is wearing thin with all the VGT poo that has taken over GT6 ( if i wanted to race space ships and Pod Racers , i will get a Star Wars game )
Never played any of the Forza series ,but it looks like they have more of the stuff i wan,t
Only thing holding me back at the moment is money coz with console and new wheel etc it will be a big outlay.

May still get a PS4 when they release GT7 in 2025:D

By then they'll be giving away free Xbox Ones preloaded with FM11 with boxes of breakfast cereal, so you'll be able to get both.

(Actually if MS are still around and in the console business by then they'll probably be up to Xbox Three with Ultra 4k output by then.)

Saw this thread pop up in the new postings, and no. Won't be getting an XBox for just this game.

I bet the top brass at Microsoft and Sony enjoy watching their exclusive titles battle it out.

Sony cannot truly believe that they currently offer a game competing with FM6. Driveclub is a poor match for the content and "realism" offered here, and GT6 on PS3 was already odd when FM5 released.

Maybe not as of today. I was thinking in terms of the larger picture.

I was in the exact same boat, I thought about it for a good long while before taking the plunge. One thing I noticed, at least in Horizon 2, is that the physics really throws you off to begin with- cars feel completely different, braking is super-strong, etc. But, don't let it throw you, it's pretty easy to get used to. I imagine FM5 and FM6 may have less 'cade in the physics engine as well. Also, from what I can gather and my own experience, Forza titles are decent on controller.

I'm really tempted to do this as well! Heck, I finally even registered myself in this forum to be part of the discussion if I should by a XB1 for Forza 6. Hi everyone, by the way.

For me 6 would not be the first FM, I already loved 3 and 4. This generation I first bough a PS4 in anticipation of Driveclub, Project CARS and obviously Kaz’ new game. While Project CARS is a really solid title - I'm currently literally driving the wheels of the Yellow Bird ;) - it does not hook me like FM4 or GT4 did. For me the last great racing title on console actually was FM 4.

The question for me is now, whether I should sell the PS4 for the moment, until there will be a GT7. As the only other game I'm looking forward to in the near future is Fallout 4 (which is on both consoles) I'm really getting more and more fond of this move...

if you are asking for opinions,
get xbox with forza horizon 2 and forza 6. stat!
but also keep ps4 since you are gonna want to play gt when it comes, and you already bought it.

ps welcome

The larger picture is no picture at all if there's nothing on your screen to play.

True, which confirms my statement that Sony probably expects GT7 to be as good or better than FM6.

It does? Sony probably expect GT7 to sell better than this version of the game regardless of quality. However it's not just up against FM6. There's likely to be at least three iterations of the Motorsport title released on the console so it's up against FM5, 6, 7 and possibly 8. Not to mention the corresponding Horizon versions. No-one is "getting an XBox for just this game".

Meanwhile Sony racing sim fans are stuck looking at a blank screen until GT7 comes out. Even with PCars and Assetto Corsa to fill the gap it's a bit of a gamble.

I jumped the GT ship to Forza and haven't regretted it for a moment. Finances aside (and I hope things improve for you soon), you should get on the Forza train sharpish mate

I have been a religious GT player since the first PS. I have always thought of buying an Xbox for Forza but couldn't make the jump. That was until now and I saw Forza 6. The game looks amazing. Not to mention that since I never owned an XBOX I figured why not buy the limited edition Forza model.

Not playing gt5/6 since a long time. I just can't anymore. Bought an xboxone last week for forza 6, got fh2 and fm5 already to keep me waiting until the 10th ^^

Last racing game I've played were AC/PC/RRRE. Liked AC but career was meh, pc carreer was cool but didnt enjoy the game and how it feels both on wheels and on pad, loving RRRE so far, playing it as well.

I just can't skip on forza6 tho because of all the cools things in the game. Like livery custom and easy to find setup.

Had a blast on the 360 with forza.

I like fm5 so far, sure it's not perfect technically but it's pretty damn close. There's too many dlc cars tho. Dont really fancy that.

Forza come to Playstation... :indiff: GT has been so disappointing. Forza 6 looks amazing, same with FH2.

Posted this on the PCars sub forum not long ago. I was a huge fan of Forza and owned all of the X360 versions, am very impressed with what I have seen of F6 so far-

I've always loved PCars despite the many bugs and glitches and have always enjoyed playing it, they have always been annoying/irritating rather than game breaking.
But last night after playing for 4 hours I just started to feel meh about the game. I experienced a couple of bugs and glitches which I used to just not let bother me but after that session I was just a bit fed up really.
Fed up enough to actually start being very interested in the imminent release of Forza 6 and giving some serious thought to selling my PS4 and waving bye to PCars and purchasing an XBone and Forza 6.
So much potential but I have to be honest and admit that this is the most bug ridden and broken title I have ever owned and perhaps I'm just over the whole thing now. I'm not sure it will ever be fixed properly because I finally faced up to the fact that there are an overwhelming number of issues with PCars. I'll hang in there for a while longer but I'm falling out of love with it.

My problem with project cars has always been that I could never understand why it was broken so badly. It had quite a long development with a lot of people involved in getting the game up to standard, it got delayed for months and it just all feels like it was for nothing. The game still released broken, still is broken and that is upsetting because it should have been outstanding. Plus with development starting on the sequel and so little communication regarding dlc and stuff it just hurt my opinion on the game and the development team as well as how the game was made.

I mean I'm sure forza will have the odd bug here or there, most games do but I haven't heard anything of some obscenely large day one patch to fix things that shouldn't be broken in a game that's just gone gold. So we can at least be semi confident that the game will be playable from day 0.

@CHEN255 I would say go for it, I was in your boat and ditched ps4 for Xbox one and I haven't looked back. People might say if but and when about gran turismo 7 and how good that should be with the power of ps4 but power is nothing without substance. Quite frankly I cannot in my wildest dreams imagine GT7 will match forza 6 for features. Car count, maybe, track count, probably, graphics, debatable but for pure features? Can't see it happening.

Plus you can still get pcars on Xbox one if they decide to fix it and assetto corsa will be too so you won't miss anything racing wise.

PCars could've been the best there is, but career mode isn't overly inviting in the way Toca Race Driver was or G:AS even. On the track it feels very good, but it just doesn't grab me.
