I think CudaMan just made drifting popular, but he didn't start it. I guess he was the one that started the whole idea(More or less) of making a music video with drifting clips. This in turn caused other people to want to drift and make a videos which is pretty much what made drifting so popular in GT3. Also, it showed newbies(like myself at the time) what was possible and what drifting "should" look like.

This is so stupid. This is like who started racing in GT3? No one person started anything, everything was layed out for you in the beginning. Cudaman didn't start ****, maybe he inspired a lot of you, but he didn't create, start, invent a damn thing. I know I'm not the only one here who was drifting in GT3 before I even knew about GTP or Cudaman.

i've started drift since I've joined this forum, and I saw lots of ppl saying that drift is cool. I've also watched CammieP 's video it is realy cool but i've never seen any one can do four wheel drift like Initial D movies hehe

Well they don't really 4wd in initial D they exagerate the angles to make it look cool. But check out my vid "Opposite lock" it's in the drift vid section on the main page. Also check out Gran dorifto 2 in the same area for some Initial D style drifting. If you were to see a car doing a real four wheel drift you would swear they were grip driving.

i did a 4 wheel drift once w/ a fc. i have the replay saved. it was on midfield. on the turn after the first mini tunnel i just turned left and took my hand off the d pad . Its the best drift i've ever done.. i cant repeat it though no matter how hard i try my car wasnt extremely sideways. it looked like i was on a rail

No one created drifting in GT3, it just happened.

I was drifting in GT2. Cudaman, I'll give credit for making drifting in GT3 POPULAR, but he didn't invent it. I've always drifted in car games.

First off, dont ever roll ur eyes to cudamn he is a god to this site and inspires me to drifting, and second there is no "creater" to drifting in GT3, GT2 or even GT1....im not saying cudaman IS the creator but i do know ever since his vid came out i started drifting i think my scenario goes along with many others.

Whoever played it first probably... We'll never know, think about it, this game came out in Japan first. It was playtested before that, do you really think you can pinpoint who was "first"?

None of you invented drifting in gt3, it's a car sim, thus making drifiting possible. It was made possible by the guys at polyphony digital. You choose racing or drift mode in arcade for christ sake.
Besides, there's a drifting replay in GT2.

loooong ago before i can even remember, its gotta be more than 2 years by now......maybe longer....god knows.
