Who Want's A Drag Track

I think it would be cool if GT4 had a drag race track where you pick what you want too race, also an option to pick an endless straightaway to figure out your topspeed,

Cool idea, but not in this game. Maybe a mode just for multiplayer in the upcoming installment? Nah heheh... Too many F&F enthusiasts would pick up the game and destroy the multiplayer concept by being too scared too learn how to turn a car, and rather drive in a straight line.

(I respect drag racing, but Gran Turismo isn't the place for it.)

They should incorporate some sorta of drag experience. One way that I can think of is that when you go to machine test, you go out to a drag strip where there are random cars next to you that are testing/practicing their runs too. This is one way to make sure all cars in the game are displayed sometime or another, plus it gives you the feel of being at a drag strip. So you begin at the drag strip line and watch the lights go from red to green then you do your run. After each run you recieve a ticket of your run and then the screen should go into split screen, the top showing you changing your parts as you decide what to adjust on the bottom screen. And Then it shows you lining back up against another car for another run.

This would be fun. Anyone else think so?

The endless straight has been suggested before. Some want it. I say it's ok, I'd prolly use it once or twice.

I've drag raced in real life, on a strip and everything. It's fun. On a computer/PS2, however, it's about as exciting as a cross-country skiing simulator. Forget it.

Hmm...maybe if they had some top fuel dragsters, other than that i dont like drag racing. Personally i would like to see sprint car racing in the next gt game.

Hmm, how about this, 2 player mode on the test course in GT4?

That way, you could have your drag racing, but not as a feature.

Like... "Test both of your machines 400m or 1000m"

I would like a drag as long as it was 2-player arcade mode, that way my buds could bring their memory cards over and we could drag with our own cars.

I think thats a fantastic idea. But i think they sould make a seperate game for drag racing e.g. GT Drag. Whaddaya think? It would have topfuel/alcohol dragsters,funny cars and pro stocks.So?Good or bad idea? com on, be honest.

This drag idea should be for online mode. You all enter this virtual drag location and line up waiting to drag the car next to you. That would be the best experience. As you wait, you can switch your camera mode and observe the runs or observe where you are in line and thus get to see other online players and their cars.
