Here's what I did. Mazda MX-5 LS (Won from golds on License test).

ASM 5
TCS 2

Oil Change, and medium-slick tires

I pitted on laps: 8, 16, 24 and 32
AI Pitted on laps: 3, 6, 9, 12, 15, 18, 21, 24, 27, 30, 33, 36 and 39

Encountered lap traffic on lap 20

MX-5 LS + 1 lap
MX-5 1.8 + 2 laps
MX-5 1.8 + 2 laps
MX-5 + 2 laps
MX-5 + 2 laps

Best Lap : 1’40.118
Total Time: 70’12.685
Average Lap: 1'45.317

And I walked away with a 100,000 and a Green Miata!

Take it nice and smooooooth and you'll come out on top.

what miata did u win. is it better than all the rest? doesnt seem like much of a prize, compared to the rest of the enduros. ill probably save this one for the end. ill just be doing it for the %.

Thats the newest miata right?

Prety much what I thought It just seemed to me that I was getting smoked on the first couple laps I tried. I quit after 8 laps because I was dreading the rest. I still had the stock tires though.

How 'bout the poliphony digital cup? I have my gt-one road car warming in my garage for that one. Thoughts?

This is my third trip through the game, and I'm only at 31 or so % complete. Most of which came from Arcade and License. I think I won a Miata 1.8. Nothing special. Was hoping for the F1.

2nd time through the game I didn't do this race until near 90% completion.

Haven't done much of beginner mode. Trying the "Buy the least amount of cars" strategy. Making the least amount of Mods, and keeping all the races close. So far most all the races have been 1-3 seconds between first and second place.

On my second trip through the game I used the Nissan R390 road car for the PD cup and it was a blow out. No competition, multiple laps on second place. GT one will devastate through the PD cup. I'd take Super slicks on that race, with the oil change.

So this is a stock Miata enduro? What level - beginner, amateur, etc.?

B/C I have a stock yellow Miata LS in my garage and I will run the race before I mod it if that is the case. TIA,

Stock Miata only. Oil change and tires (Suggest super slicks)allowed. The drivers rank slightly above beginner level driving ability.

Just jump in and do it. an hour and ten minutes is all it takes.

For 100,000 credits? I'm on that like a cheap suit. What track is it?

I used an old style Miata (Its called an MX-5 in the UK) with super hard tyres and I only had to pit once for the whole race on the 20th lap. It was easyer than I expected and I won myself A Polyphony 02 (A turbocharged F1 car for you US folks) in black and purple. But wait that was before my memory card died

Stock Miata with fresh oil change and super slick tires, this makes the race no big deal. Just drive smoothly.

About the PD Cup, I used the GT-One Road Car, with fresh oil change, and super slick tires. All 10 races are 20 laps each. I never pitted for the entire series. Of course that oil light came on at 189 miles into the series. But it doesn't hurt performance enough to make any competition any challenge for your first place. Have fun with that ;)

The race is at Apricot Hill.

Use the superhard tyres - one of the Miatas might run off in the first couple of laps, but don't worry, he stops every three laps or so.

It's a pretty easy race. I actually quite enjoyed it, because the Miata's very easy on the superhard tyres so you can run lap after lap concentrating on your braking points, lines and exits, so you can really chip away at your lapt times.

Thanks, Mr. Value Added Tax!

For the Miata race I used the 1.8 you win in the licence test with super hard tyres. Like vat_man said, they will pull away to start with but you will easily catch up, I won comfortably. For the PD cup I used a Mazda RX7 RZ to provide more of a challege.

Buy whatever Miata has the best P/W ratio. Change the oil, Put on the hard slicks. Drive smoothly. Pit every ten laps collect 100,000. Win a car.
Hopefully, the F1.

the power to weight ratios in the game are screwed up. Power to Weight is supposed to be the cars power (in HP) divided by its weight (in lbs). even when i convert the kg to lbs, the ratio is all screwed up. in real life, u would want a high number for the ratio.

in gt3, though, i think a lower number is better. its all messed up.

I hate to tell you... but your wrong....
The LOWER the PWR/Wght ratio the better. Take for example a 2200lb car that has 110 hp. To figure out the hp you need to divide 2200 by 110.... That gives you 20 pwr/wght. Now take a car that has 150 hp but the same weight. You get 14.6.

So you see the lower number is better.

Oh and back to the subject:
I beat the enduro it WAS easy. Won a miata though

Hey, Jim, you mean I did something before you did?

I won the Miata Enduro by about a 30 second margin with an ET of 1:13:00 on the money. My best lap time was about 0:1:42 or so, with an average of around 0:1:45. It was a lot of fun, very competitive, and really good practice.
:D :D :D
Which means I'm not going to explode when I have to run it again because all I won was a stinkin' green Miata...

PS - how's life treating you these days?

Yeah you may have done it before me but I did it better! :smilewink: I had every one lapped by two laps when I was done! :p

Life sucks lately. I did get sloppy drunk on friday after the lay off :drunk:
I went to see what people said after I said goobye to the Neons.org people (because I'm so self absorbed  ) but the thread was deleted

Wow! How'd you do it? I used Medium Slicks and pitted every 8 laps. I had lapped one or two of the stragglers, but certainly not the whole field, twice!
Way to bust my bubble...
:thatsodd:

I'm on this race right now. I've taken a break on lap 20. So far I've lapped every car and my best lap time is 1'39.000. This race is definately boring me.

Ok I finished. It was boring but it put me at 99%. And i won a Miata Mx-5. No VR or F-1. I was mad. But oh well.

Oh my God, you're so wrong it's amazing.

A ratio is something (numerator) divided by something else (denominator), and it's usually expressed in the form "numerator to denominator". So, "power to weight" is power divided by weight. In this, it's better to have a higher number. In your example, the 2200lb car is 1 metric tonne, so the PWR is 110hp/tonne for 110hp, and 150 for the 150hp car.

You're right in the way GT3 calculates it as weight to power, but that's just odd!

Giles - technically, you are correct. However, in common discussion, "power to weight ratio" is used to refer to "pounds per horsepower", usually yielding a number in the mid teens for a normal American street car.
