Did I just see a Dodge Ram and SVT LIghtning? Aren't they pickups? Does that mean we can race pickups? And I heard a rumor about animated pit crews, is that true? Thanks for the replies.

that would be quite interesting....pick-ups in the game....but then wouldn't they have to change their physics engine to allow for tipping over and such...

well yeah, but i just saw it. i thought it was strange. pickups...:odd: :odd:

From what i know all these "Car Lists" arent real. So dont assume that pickups will be in the game.

Actually, theres been no news or new screens of GT4 (not Prolouge) for quite a while now.Hopefully thats a sign of how hard PD are working on the game at the moment.Im thinking maybe by late Feb-early March we might have a release date.

Well they have tested trucks, minivans, SUVs, and of course cars... because i have seen some vans, a jeep wrangler, the chevy ssr, etc.. but they are just testing it doesnt mean they will be in except we have seen the SSR and the Odessey in GT4:P and other ingame screen shots but none of SUVs yet... There isnt an official list yet and dont expect it until a few weeks before release or after the game releases.. so dont get your hopes up yet and just wait for the game.. because everything right now it just pure expectations....

It dosen't seem too odd, considering there was a Subaru Forester in GT2.

There is a CHEVORLET SSR in GT4, that I have seen both ingame and from the car selection screen, somewhere around in these forums before.

there are pics of a couple of pickups on IGN as far as i know, on the grand canyon rally circuit.
I think it was from the E3 version...

No, PD have created an almost perfect engine for racing, it uses a very compex string of calculations and works out what should happen so if it's told that theres a 4wd vehicle 7ft long 4.5ft wide that weights 2500kg's and it's center of gravity is 35in high the engine will work out how it should drive, corner accelerate etc. Thats not the calculations used, it's alot more comlex than what I put but thats the idea.
