RS2000 is its own car. And i have an in-game Focus ST and it says its US
still i see that now (woo new facts to add to my mental collection of motoring facts) but it doesnt let you enter any Fords into the race saying they are US cars
I believe those are the only two Fords in the game that were built for Ford UK. (Might be wrong.) You should only be able to have those two participate in the race. Have you tried to enter those two, if you own them?
That wikipedia page "Despite some rumours to the contrary, the RS200 was not based on the European version of the Escort, as were both its predecessor and successor."
I believe those are the only two Fords in the game that were built for Ford UK.
i tried to enter my focus st but to no avail
The car company is US. However, it's made for the European markets. Also, you are right about the RS2000 being it's own car.
The RS200 was a variant of the Mk 2. Escort, the RS2000 was a purpose built homologation car for Group B rallying.
but all the in game fords are listed in game as american thus shouldn't be in that race series. Back to my question, who else has seen this?
Of the Fords in GT5, the Escort Rally car, all the Focus', the RS200 road and rally car, the GT40's and the Ford GT are European.Theres the Ford Escort and Focus (old and new) Rally Cars, The old Focus RS and ST170 and the old GT40 was mainly a european car.
Sorry, got a 0 happy there. Got to love those FIA rules that at least 200 production cars have to built! Gave us quite the road legend!
You edited my post in the quote to make the first part wrong.
Sorry about that, it wasn't to correct you. But to correct my own misgivings with the 0 key.
Let the record show that Duffers original post correcting me, was in fact correct.
EDIT: I fixed it!
ST170 was the same car as the America SVT Focus.Theres the Ford Escort and Focus (old and new) Rally Cars, The old Focus RS and ST170 and the old GT40 was mainly a european car.
Then I would say that would be a glitch. I happen to work for a Ford dealership, and quite versed on most things Ford. That car is as European as the Renault Megane. It's even considered a hot hatch. We, in the states have been drooling for the car for some time. At least at my dealership.
.
ST170 was the same car as the America SVT Focus.
Let me say again as you got it wrong again. Which is kinda' funny considering what you said here
The RS2000 with three 0's was a variant of the Mk 2 Escort.
The RS200 with two (count them) 0's was the Group B Car.
