I feel your pain - I have this game as well. I think it's pretty ordinary, as games go (I do love golf though), but if I start playing it, I'm basically obsessed with playing it for weeks on end - and I can't explain why!
My personal faves are The Sims (plus the add ons), and Simcity 3000. The other half loves Simcity 3000 - must appeal to the Project Manager part of her personality.
