why can we only log our psn onto 3 ps3 consoles?

You can have your psn account attached to as many consoles as you want, however, only 2 consoles can have access to the dlc that you've purchased. They've done this because of people giving account info away and letting other people download dlc for free which losses sony and whoever made the dlc money and violates copyright and terms and conditions.
