I was a huge fan of Gt5 up until polyphony digital decided to **** it up inthe 1.06 update. Suddenly out of nowhere you can only trade shi**y cars, every god damn track is a rolling start and all of this without even scratching the surface of thing that ACTUALLY needed to be fixed like the retarded loading times. Oh sorry, I forgot to mention what a great job they did on fixing the square shadows! Whoopdy fuc*ing do! Seriously in my opinion they took a 5 star game and turned it into a 3 star Mario kart look-a-like! Please leave your opinions below.

Where can I get a copy of this "mario kart" you speak off?

#1 Trading was not affected until 1.07

#2 So you're complaining about bad shadows and and rolling starts? Wow.

Dude. Go get a beer.

EDIT: But then again noticing your terrible grammar, you might have already had too many.

They want us to play NASCAR The Game 2011, Shift 2, in a month and Dirt 3 when it releases.

There are already a zillion of opinions posted about this. Search and you will find lots of threads where you can rant on.

Actually, the 1.07 update introduced the trade restrictions. The 1.06 update brought forward a lot of bug fixes and new features (GT Anywhere, cars now listed with a tick in the dealerships if you have them, etc).

The restrictions that 1.07 brought to the game have greatly improved online game play (in my experience) as it seems that a lag that was quite significant before has been vastly improved now that all the dupers aren't trading cars. So yes, they are fixing the game by removing the "Gift" feature that was never made to be used to trading in the first place. I for one am happy with the update.

If you want to fix your loading times, I suggest you upgrade your HDD to a solid state drive. The loading times are due to hardware restrictions, not software implementation.

👍

I've complained about GT5 quite a bit in the past, but even I think the new threads created nearly everyday about the same problems is getting old.

This Mario kart would be nice but sadly doesn't exist. I don't mea to anger tue die hards it's just I stopped playing for a month and came back to see that there were 2 updates, so I was stoked thinking that this game would now be even more amazing than I once thought but all that had really changed was the shadows look smoother. Who cares about the shadows??? If they want to make a realistic game, then why have all rolling starts? Many races have a grid start like the one before. And if you care about my grammar so much go make a thread about it in the "off topic" part of the site, ok buddy?

Yea the gift thing is much needed because people randomly trading cars they haven't earned is unfair I completely agree.

Rolling starts are used in many catagories of car racing just deal with it.

I don't really have anything agains the changes from an online or competitive point of view, but as a casual racer I found it more fun before the adjustments that's all.

What's wrong about complaining about rolling starts? Rolling starts are for tossers... Standing starts for the win.

i will never go as low as Nascar ....

Yeah trolling is pretty boring.

Rolling starts are only for A Spec races, like a launching from a standing start versus the AI is something to beat your chest about :indiff:

What craziness are you people spouting, there has never been any trading function in GT, it's car gifting and it's not going anywhere, you just won't be able to gift a car over 1 million credits and can only gift one car per day, per PS3, per public IP address...confused yet?

I have yet to find someone to intelligently answer why someone getting gifted a car they didn't actually win or level up in the game to get is a problem for anyone else in the world of GT5?:dunce: I really want to understand this oddball train of thought.

When did GT5 become "perfectly fine"?

It has improved since release but I'd never call it "perfectly fine"... Mario Cart (Wii) is a better "game". Fanboys are going to flame me, but the sales figures will speak for themselves. History will recognize Mario Cart as the better of the two games (it will be the best seller for this generation of consoles, beating Forza also).

It is sad to know that the wii may be looked back on as a successful "gaming" console but you're right, the numbers add up in it favor even though many of it's games are less developed and less refined than the "serious" gaming consoles like Xbox and PS3.

Complaining about not being able to sell or trade your duped or glitched cars in GT5 is like saying you hate your new Aston Martin DB9 because the ashtray is the wrong shape.

It's a driving game, not a duping game.

Sorry buddy, McDonalds burgers are not as good as Wendy's. And their McRib is nowhere near as good as a 20 inch slab slow cooked for 8+ hours.

You're trying to tell me that the steaks at Sizzler are better than Ruth's Chris Steakhouse because the cheap ones sell more? Wow.

They ruined it because Kaz is the boss and he doesn't care what you think, it's his goddamn creation, albeit messed up.

Everyone complaining about the game and wanting to throw it away. Since you want to throw it away so bad, throw it over to me :) one less copy I have to buy for multi screen :)

This is a bit of a tangent/straw man but your examples are terrible.

A) Mario Cart sells for only $10 less than GT5. But have 26.5 million copies sold.
B) Ruth's Chris sells more steak than Sizzler (they even have more locations)
C) McDonald's hamburgers are fine... you're just burned out on them so you downgrade your desire to have one. If you grew up eating Wendy's hamburgers you'd rather have a McDonald's burger.

And finally. Mario Kart 3DS is the #1 anticipated game for the new Nintendo Console (voted on officially, not just my opinion). Do you think GT6 will be the #1 game for the PS4?

Edit: GT5 IS the best selling title for the PS3 (who would have thunk it?). I was wrong.

Rolling starts suck. Thing only thing i would complain about is the lack of content ( as in races, tracks, aspec events, night time racing, change of weather dynamics and more premium cars)

I would love this game if there were more kart tracks, more karts, and kart tuning options, and kart tuning weapon upgrades... green turtle 1500CR, red turtle 2500CR, blue turtle 4000CR... bananas 500CR? 👍

Another one of these threads?

That makes the zillionth whine thread on this exact same topic.
