Because:
1st: They should already be in the game;
2nd: They are cool;
3rd: They exist only in GT;
4th: I like them;
5th: Everybody likes them;
6th: They feel nostalgic;
7th: Read reasons above.
...
:D

Everything GTShadowKing said and its more not less so why wouldn't we want it????
I wouldn't mind also more real tracks.

I would trade Monza for Midfield Raceway anyday.

Yes we all want SPA, Silverstone, Donington park, etc... Even I want those tracks, and personally even more than those old GT tracks.
But reason they want old tracks is that they were popular and they are fun tracks. And besides, GTShadowKing mentioned some more reasons.

I would take a real world track over a GT origianl any day, but I still enjoy the originals. In my opinion El Capitan was one of the best tracks in a GT game ever.

I miss the old tracks, but as so many original circuits made it into GT5, i'm not complaining. GT5 has a lack of circuits in general, which I think PD has tried to remedy with the track creator (And failed, in my opinion. The track creator kind of sucks).

Why do GT5 fans want all the old fake fantasy GT tracks instead of REAL WORLD tracks like Spa or Bathurst? is it because GT fans here aren't into racing and don't know that most real world tracks are way better than anything PD can come up with? They only buy GT for the cars/graphics and want to drive through fake mountains and over blue bridges across shiny water?

Hint: Insults and general :censored:try gets you nowhere.

Ignorance aside, I don't care what PD gives us when it comes to DLC (if we get any, that is), as long as it's a good track(s) and not a jumbled mess of flawed corners and 378472917 mile long straits.

People get too picky :ouch:. "whaaa, why isn't there a ricy Honda in the Forza DLC!" "whaa, why are there so many campers on the new BO DLC!" "whaaa, why is it that so many people want fantasy tracks! Why can't they request real tracks like me!"

Now you know why I'm doubting the human race. :banghead:

They had some great tracks on the previous GT games. I'd really love to have Complex String (and the rest) back. To me, that track was second only to the Ring. Whether real or not, I miss doing hot laps on that one. Brilliant layout and I'd love to see it brought back or actually built. :dopey:

To answer the question personally, its all about nostalgia. I remember playing all the Gran Turismos including the original gran turismo. Now I play gran turismo on the psp and GT5. There are some great tracks on the psp, including El capitan, Seattle and the motego versions. They bring back memories of previous GT's, and also are great tracks to drive. Grindalwald was surprisingly good track I would like to see again and also New York. But I think we also need new tracks, but more around some of the worlds great cities, like Shanghai, Venice, Rio, Bangkok and Cairo.

Because, as many people have stated before, they're nostalgic. I'd love to see pikes peak, or spa or something. But tracks like apricot hill and midfield don't exist in real life, and that's why we like them, because we can't drive on them in real life. Back in GT4, I'd always test new cars a midfield because i love that track, and I really miss it. Maybe someday we can see those tracks in HD...

I would like a mix of real and made up tracks. Would like Silverstone for starters.

How about Long Beach? Though it may never attain the fame of Monza or Laguna Seca, for Indy fans, it is one of the most loved tracks. As a SoCal native, I frequently drive the streets that make up the course, dreaming of how it would feel to tear through the coastal neighborhood at eyelid-folding speeds with the Queen Mary and Aquarium of the Pacific in the background.

I don't need or require ALL the old tracks. I just liked several of them and hope they are included. to some extent, I realize some will complain no matter what. GT5 sure had plenty of tracks and cars to justify $60.

I just miss El Capitan and Complex String. I think adding them in would be a wonderful thing. I would pay for a DLC pack full of them, and think that's totally fair.

Speak for yourself! I was glad that tracks such as Midfield, Apricot Hill and Seattle were left out. It's just a shame they didn't fill the void with more real world tracks. If i want made up arcade-style tracks i'll play a crappy 80's game like Outrun. I don't expect a leading title to be churning out made up tracks that are over a decade old, things need to change.

First person i ever heard of who doesn't like Appricott Hill and Outrun is not a crappy game. Must have grown up on HD consoles.

I'd like apricot hill back im it..that was an awesome track to race on with a pescarolo! (or any lmp car :p) those reasons someway up are actually The ultimate answers to your question dude!,

Hope they put motegi and infineon back in it..

I was never good in the old GTs as I was to young to understand them but theres a lot PD could have and should have done with GT5. For example Suzika you have the full version and the east but no west all they had to do was move a tyre wall and put in an other and you have a new track.

We want those tracks too (GIMME SPA AND BATHURST DAMMIT!) but it's more we want the old ones because they really should have never been dropped from the GT series with GT5. Plus, there's a bunch of real tracks that didn't make the cut too (Motegi for example...).

👍

Sweet, another wishlist thread.

I'll have me some El Capitan, Seattle, Spa, Silverstone, Tahiti Maze...
You know a mix of everything ;).

except from a few, i have no idea which of these tracks are fake. Can anyone tell me which are real and which actually do exsist? I remember red rock valley from GT2. loved that one. NYC was another cool city track.

The reason, I think, these tracks are requested most is the fact that they have been in a Gran Turismo before and that therefore gives hope that they might be more likely to reappear than a new track. This includes the real world tracks that have been left out for GT5.

It should however be more than obvious that fans want more real world tracks to be included aswell. Has the OP ever even looked in the feedback section of this site?

I'd really like to play on Citta di Aria; it's so similar to my hometown: Guanajuato, Mexico. Another track I would like to play on is Costa di Amalfi: it brings me peace and happy feelings.
One day, I hope... you know, for sentimental reasons. :)
