On a serious note, because I had an excellent time beating a professional rally driver in his '93 Civic, in my Impreza. Sideways. I know, I know, it's not hard to beat a '93 Civic, but it was fun.


Results:

17th/52 in my first ever rallycross event.
8th in N/A class (non-turbo Subarus)
A lot of fun - Most importantly
Excellent videos (*LANGUAGE WARNING ON MY OTHER YOUTUBE CHANNEL VIDEOS!!!*
And a few friendships. - The other most important part

I'd expect him to bury it in a snowbank and ask me "what the 🤬?! Your e-brake doesn't work?! I'm a rally driver. I'd trade my third leg for a functioning handbrake."

I highly doubt that. The handbrake is not used as much as you might imagine, for 2 reasons:
1) It pitches a car into a slide without shifting much weight to the front wheels and so in a high-speed drift it can be unpredictable. Its mostly a blunt instrument and only ever a last resort.
2) In AWD cars, it affects all 4 wheels, not just the rears and so has a similar effect as just standing on the brakes, which is not the technique on a low friction surface.

Went back to my teen days trying to beat Savo in Midnight Club 2. You never see a body kitted Supra battle with a body kitted S7 anywhere else.
