Simple question.

Why isn't it fully compatible? is it a technical issue? Does PD just want us to suffer?:grumpy:

Just incase you guys didn't know, you can map different buttons on the G25/7 by using the Driving Force Pro settings..! :D though i do wish it was fully supported...

I'm 100% happy with my G27, even though it's not fully supported. I always use a controller for some of the extra functions ( gost, photomode, ... ) that are not available or difficult to do with the wheel...

G25 and G27 are designed as PC wheels. They just happen to work with the GT series, but aren't listed as officially supported.

If it works, what does it matter if it's not officially supported?

GTP_Roadrunner.

Your G25 is working, but not 100% compatible/supported.

I don´t get it. It works 100% yes, but is it like some functions the 25/27 are missing because of non-existent support? OK, the button mapping you have to take from the DFP, but that´s it. All other things work properly, even the button re-mapping isn´t an issue.

Anyway, I'm open for your thoughts or comments.

My "not officially supported" G25 has working 900 degree steering, it has a working clutch, it has working sequential or a working 6 speed H pattern gearbox, and it has working buttons for lights, wipers and horn.

Out of the steering wheels I've used with GT over the years (Momo force, DFGT & G25) only the DFGT has been "officially supported." If I hadn't known that, I wouldn't have been able to tell the difference.

Officially supported doesn't really mean anything. The only thing that matters with wheels and GT is, does it work?

No you can't. G27 buttons are completely un-remappable. Take it from someone who has tried every possible combination. As Daan said though, the clutch, shifter, paddles and rev lights work so it's not all bad. Just a pity I have 4 buttons that don't do anything.

You cyn´t even re-map the 27 using the Driving Force Pro setup menu? That´s strange, didn´t knew that. For the 25, it's fully working...

You need to look at the Logitech site. They 'officially' recommend the G27 for GT5.

I have one and was disappointed with the lack of compatibility, so I asked Logitech. They didn't know why it's not supported, but said they would give me a refund if I wanted and sent me a free return authorization. I declined the offer.

Logitech has mapped the stick shift, so I believe they could map the buttons too. At least enough to add a set of functions to each wheel button. I would really like to see an e-brake button on the wheel.
