Why MP4-12c doesn't performed well as F-1 ( old brother )?

Then the modeling is spot on because its supposed to be a watered down more comfortable version of a hypercar such as the F1.

It wasn't benchmarked against the 458 directly, but Ferrari in general IS competition to McLaren (just look at F1) so it seems only an obvious choice to match or surpass their performance/handling. I think they more than succeeded in this aspect. As a matter of fact, in a recent article in MotorTrend, the MP4-12c matches or beats the 458 in most handling and performance tests. It won out in a 3-way comparo in Car and Driver against the 458 Italia and the Porsche 911 GT2 RS:

Also, it tops the 458 on the Top Gear Test Track as well with a 1:16.2 to 1:19.1 respectively:

In other instances though, I have seen the Ferrari lap faster and finish higher in comparison tests. Both cars really are so close in performance/handling that either one you can't really go wrong with. It comes down mainly to preference, in my honest opinion.👍
