Why Mugello is such an awesome place...

Agreed about the car and track list. Shame the physics are completely hopeless. Interesting though I thought EA only has rights to IP (like the name of the game), but not actual in-game assets (car and track licensing permitting of course). I seem to recall people saying some tracks in PCARS are direct ports (touched up a bit) from Shift 2.

Well, that is what they told us when they were starting up. I think it makes sense, they're not a first party studio so they were paid to make those assets for EA, not for themselves. It's pretty common in business, anything you make at a company is owned by that company, usually. It's not like PD who are not hired by anyone, they're making content for themselves and so they own it. The MADNESS engine however was their property from the Blimey! Games days.

They are bound to look pretty similar in the end because they're modelled by the same people and the graphics engine is the same base.

I'll go ahead and risk saying it...short of Imola, I think most Italian tracks are pretty blase...same with German tracks. I've never found them very entertaining. The German tracks are understandable as they are, of course, Germans. But I've always been surprised that Italian tracks are so...boring. Imola has just enough character to make it intriguing. The other tracks I've witnessed, played in games, seen on TV etc....nothing.

I could never understand the love for Imola. Sure its stepped in history but I wouldnt really call it a racers track in manner of say Motorland Aragon, Suzuka, Laguna or Motegi
 and I disagree again. Imola is nothing but rhythm once you hit the 1st braking zone. There's a small pause between Tamberrllo and Villeneuve, but then you're working the wheel and pedals non stop until you exit Rivazza 2.

Aragon I've never tried myself, but having watched several races there, it does look like a really fun track to drive.

Motegi though? Makes for good racing with all the heavy braking zones, but it's so point and shoot that I have a tough time getting in a good rhythm there.

AragoN? :odd: And to me Suzuka is one of the most over-rated tracks in motorsports.
Shame!! :p. Personal taste I guess, I LOvE Suzuka though. If Suzuka is overrated though, what are all the rest of the tracks in the world??

To me it's like Catalunya and Hungaroring - great track for hot-lapping (F1 2009 on Wii springs to mind) but for actual racing not a fan.
.
Depends what kind of cars you're talking about. Hungaroring is bit tight for F1, but fantastic for touring cars. Suzuka can be a little processional for F1, but for the Super GT cars, it's incredible!!

It all depends on the cars really.

Ah, the master of clickbait is at it again!

Sorry. I just had to do it.

On topic: I love Mugello; I remember driving on it in Forza 4.

However, I hate to be that one guy, but I think Monza is my favorite Italian circuit for no reason.

When he said racers track, I assumed great to drive on, which it blatantly is.

Also, Hungaroring is throwing up some of the best races every year these days in F1.
