Why the hate against "race cars"?

It's very rare to find a good host and a good game online.

Exactly... I will immediately send a friend request to someone who knows how to host a good room.

I say have a requirement that say 'no race cars' in the title if you dont want race cars.

Unfortnately PD has not yet allowed the host to change the name of an online room. A new host might want to race only production cars in a room they just inherited, a room called "run wat u brung" or similar... maybe they should just exit and start another room?

Thanks for the offer! I'll take you up on it.
...oh yeah...and I only drive on Nur.....I suck at everything else..... :)
For some reason, I only like to drive on the Nur track.

Well, I race almost every night with a group of friends, allways with race cars damage and no aids, it can be Nascar, LMP at Le Mans, GT500 at nurbur... everything goes.
We just don't like two things, laggers and cheaters...

Feel free to join....

PS: We talk a lot though.... :p:lol:

A few things in this post that really need addressing...

First: The PP system is a complete joke. My fully tuned Ford Mustang (with less power, more weight, a live rear axle suspension setup in the rear, higher drag coefficient, and less downforce) is apparently a better car than my fully tuned Ford GT. There is not one single advantage the Mustang has over the GT, but it has a higher PP rating.

Second: Do you really think reporting somebody's profile is an appropriate action? That's usually reserved for something that violates terms of service. Might as well call the police for a kid violating a "no girls allowed" sign on a tree house.

Third: People don't hate on race cars. It's just a lot more fun (in my opinion at least) to race production cars that require precise tuning, careful selection, and ultimately skill to win. Pushing weak cars beyond their means (Honda CRX going 200 on Daytona for example) is also great entertainment. Sorry, but most people just turn up the downforce, bolt on soft tires and are equal competitors with race cars. Getting bumped and spun using Group C and LMPx vehicles just isn't that fun. JGTC, DTM, and NASCAR races aren't very exciting online either. Not because it's close racing, but because the result is mostly out of your control, so why bother racing at all? I do use race cars from time to time, but the real test and fun lies in proving you know how to tune your car in a way that suits your driving style, which must also be successful. Nothing beats getting complements on your heavily modified car and setup by a complete stranger.

I think the problem is as a few people have said here is that race cars have superior down force (and a few other perks). If you were to take a production car and put it up against a race car where the PP points were matched on the dot and the drivers were of equal skill, the race car would win most of the time.

One thing I don't get is why production cars benefit so little from aerodynamic upgrades. Most production cars only have an option for adjustable rear wings that only provide 20 points worth of down force maximum, hardly enough to make a difference especially for high-powered vehicles. A lucky few production cars have an option to install a front piece that may give 5 to 10 points of down force, and about the same number have rear wings that give more than 20 points of down force, but usually no more than 35 (example: Premium Ford GT). Race cars on the other hand usually have 35 points minimum for rear down force, and vehicles such as Group C or LMP cars can have a maximum of 85 points which essentially puts the vehicle on rails and gives no chance for any production car (but then again, there are very few production cars out there in the game that can match such cars in terms of overall performance).

When I'm the host, I tend to set PP and Weight limits.Usually, this will take care of all the F1's and X1's out there. But if some guy sneaks one in, I really don't care. I'm also not going to kick him out just because I can.

Personally, if I'm using a race care and I beat a production car, there's really nothing to feel good about. But if a production care beats me, then I would go die in shame. :) LOL
