I see people that only talk about how fast is a Veyron and the X2010. What cars do you think are despised and what ones are overrated?

Most overrated, Veyron.

People Ooh and Aah about the X2010 but it's actually as amazing as they say. And yes, you need actual skill to drive it a full potential.

Underrated:

TVR Speed 12 (I've whooped tons of stuff with this car)

Honda Odyssey (I've also whooped tons of stuff with this car (A whole field of LM cars and I came in the upper ranks)

ZZ II, Apart from Whooping a bunch of cars, including an Escudo and a Ford GT LM, this car is the most bang for your buck in the entire game.

wedssport celica. that thing dominates much more powerful cars. takes corners on rails

as far as street cars go, and don't laugh at this, but the bmw 120i punches well above it's weight. i was really surprised at how well it did fresh out of the box.

Overrated
Bugatti Veyron - Yes it's amazingly fast in a straight line but it handles like a tank round corners. There's also the fact that it seems to be mostly driven by school children who think it's the best thing ever made.

Underrated
MG TF160 - It's a good handling car with a nice engine note but it doesn't seem to get much love amongst the community. Most people seem to overlook it, perhaps due to it being quite rare in the UCD.

Overrated, can be nothing but the Veyron or the SuperVeloce.

Underrated, that's harder. Probably the Acura NSX '91 RM, or the M3 Coupe '07, tuned correctly it's fantastic.

Autobacs Garaiya. The ARTA race version is already a sweet handling car, but the road version is super fun too. It didn't cost much from the UCD and it's excellent in the 450-500pp range. I haven't gotten around to tuning it yet but it held it's own, stock, in 500pp online races (it comes with about 450pp, so I was running about 50 below the competition)

Veyron is terribly overrated. I wouldn't even consider using the car period anymore.

I think the 370Z is underrated, but that's because I like it a ton.

EDIT: There are more cars that are underrated than my favorite 370Z, as so many cars in the game are so rarely used that they receive no appreciation for what they bring to GT5.

underrated:

86 MR2 supercharged. fun (but slow) stock, a blast once tuned.

overrated:

Zonda R (just kidding, that car is wonderful!)

I never hear anybody talking about the Spoon EK Civic. With a good tune, it handles great and embarasses more powerful cars.

Over:
Veyron, X2010.

Under:
Peugeot 207 GTi - I've never seen another online as of yet, but I must say (once tuned correctly) this car is FANTASTIC. So much more feel and a surprising amount of power and grip. I know some of you are wondering why I'd say an FF is great, but it really is. Honest.
Fiat 500 '08 - What can I say; I loved this car even before the game, but I can't stress how underrated this car is. Well, it is a bit slow sometimes but the grip is pretty good, power is good and it looks awesome :dopey:
Alfa Romeo Spider - I did think this car would be complete and utter... well crap. It was a Shuffle Race and I got this car. Immediately I facepalmed and thought "I'm going to lose for sure". I was wrong; so wrong. Even though it was FF, it was decent around corners, pretty good in a straight line and had the passion and soul (Top Gear reference :sly: ) an Alfa Romeo should. I won, and had fun doing so. If you find this car pop up in your UCD, buy it. Trust me, you'll have a blast.

Over:Veyron

Under:Amuse S2000 (premium)- Massive downforce, and 600 HP in a 1100KG Chassis.
Ferrari f40 (stock, no upgrades) bad weight dist., thin tres, soft suspension, and a curb weight of 1300Kg, instead of the 1100Kg advertized in the description.
A waste of 420,000 unless you add another 200,000 cr to upgrade it.

The Civic Type R is underrated.

Fully tuned including the race mod = 170+ mph and very stable handling.

Overrated? The Veyron. Just because I haven't encountered anyone online who hasn't used it.

Underrated: 1991 Toyota Celica GT-Four RC (ST185)
Fully tuned this car STOMPS almost everything out there. I loved it in GT1, 2, 3 AND 4

Get it, Tune it and LOVE it!

I have found myself getting attached to the 86 MR2 after driving it last night, stock with soft sports, fun car! I think Im going to add some manifold/air filter/exhaust and see just how much the stock engine opens up :) Definitely underrated 👍

Underrated:

Chaparral 2D Race Car '67

Easily the fastest car for it's HP level. Detuned to 210-220HP, it's still capable of 180mph. 500HP, roughly 230mph when tuned right. Then if we go back to GT4, at just under 1,000HP, it's still capable of 300mph... Without nitro.

As for acceleration, if you're racing on smaller tracks where your gear ratio is much smaller, this car is a rocket off the line and exiting corners. Completely different story on bigger, faster tracks, where your large gears will slow you down a little.

Performance wise, at 771kg, it's super light weight and corners with the best (LMP/LeMans). Stops on a dime too.

The only real down side of this car is that it has 3 gears, making gears ratios big. Say this car had 5 or 6 gears, it could easily be one of the best cars in GT5.

Just got one, spent some bucks on it, and 30 minutes of tuning and testing and made it a perfect all-rounder!

Funny to hear the X2010 is 'overrated' by some. It's not overrated if it can back up what people say about it. It wins every race, by a large margin. It can't be overrated unless claims are made that can't be backed up, like "It will cook your dinner". Its limitations are due only to the driver.

But underrated? Somebody mentioned the Garaiya -- outstanding little car, even untuned. The Alfa Romeo TZ2 Zagato is underrated because of its low poer, but it's an awesome race car. :)

Overrated, probably the Veyron. It can be beaten by a lot of cars with less power, so it doesn't really match up to its potential.

Underrated: TVR Speed 12. 1000+ horsepower and 1080kg. Need I say more?

Ginetta G4 also tunes up into a little monster.

The Honda CR-Z is probably one of the most underrated. In a PP race, I was out-cornering and out-braking and leading the pack by a consistent 3 seconds throughout the Nurburgring. Surprisingly good car. :dopey:

Veyron ppl say is over rated only because u go extremely fast than come to a stop for corners than super fast again, but the car is still amazing and I no everyone here was super excited when they won it and smashed every race after that. Also X1 is hard as hell to drive well.

Over rated: the 20million Ferrari. It's a race car and it's worth so much and looks beautiful so u assume it's spectacular, but the car is absolutely awful. It's like driving on ice.

Under rated: the Subaru sti 22b or really any of them I just happen to own that one lol. I was in a 6 person race online and everyone had nice cars, I was driving a Ferrari SP1 maxed out and tuned perfect and still came second to the guy in the sti.

I don't see many people talking about the Subaru Impreza '05 RM. You couldn't spin out in this car if you tried. It accelerates faster than anything else in its PP range and corners like it's on rails. You can be so aggressive with this car; just throw it around, don't worry, you won't crash. No matter what, you'll always get out of the corners faster than your competition. I almost feel like I'm cheating when I use this car.
