After GT6 is released? If so, how long?

Personally, I see myself playing it for at least a year or so. Still so much for me to do.
 
Nope. In fact, I deleted GT5's game data from my PS3 once GT6 was announced. Time for a new beginning.

I'm still hanging on to my GT5 save file though, just in case GT6 has some sort of loyalty bonus for playing GT5.
 
I doubt I will return to GT5. Unless the feel of the drivin bit of the game is a step backwards.
But it won't be.

Perhaps I will if I miss a certain track. I did return to GT4 to have a dash at Assisi and El Capitan... great tracks but the "drive" felt very wonky after years of GT5.
 
I'll play GT5 until all my online racing friends have GT6. There's still quite a few cars that I've not yet tuned, so I'll come back to it from time to time.
 
I'll probably retain it and downgrade it to 2.11 (or whatever the number was) and play it just to mess with hacked cars. Though I really doubt I'll get the same mileage out of that that I did with GT3.

Not at all. The only reason I'm still playing it now is because of the WRS TT's, the occasional online time trial that I may participate in, and the hybrids. I have Platinum with all cars in the game and have collected everything there is to collect. So no, as soon as I get my hands on GT6, this game is hitting the shelf. The only reason I may even think of playing it again is for the exact same reasons Tornado gave. I doubt very much that will happen though because GT6 will have my full attention for a long time after it comes out. GT6 will probably be like GT5 was for me when it first came out. I stuck GT5 in my console and it didn't come out for the first 2 years, other than to clean the disc.
 
Another no here. After playing the demo made it hard for me to go back to GT5. I'll be starting fresh, new PSN ID and everything so no point in going back to the old......not for a while at least, I still loved GT5.
 
No. I won't be touching GT5 once I have GT6 in my hands.
 
I gave away my GT5 collector's edition I think many of us have moved on and want a fresh path.
 
Highly doubtful. Have never returned to any old title before.
 
Geez, I can't believe some of the things I'm reading in this thread. Why all you players are automatically leaving because a newer version is coming out is beyond me. I mean, what if GT6 is going to be worse than GT5 ever was. What if hybriding will never even come close to GT6 like in GT5? Answer me that! As for me, I'll stick with the old saying "Don't fix anything that ain't broke". I'll be playing GT5 for MANY years to come.

Hybrid is cracking the game so what does it matter, also it's a newer version there isn't much reason to hold on to it so I don't see how you can try to make a critical argument. GT5 was horrible and I don't see how the next iteration can make it any worse then rock bottom.

Not sure if serious or not? You are new and enough threads have been made to show people why they would quickly dispose of GT5. GT5 was quite broken and thus it will be somewhat fixed with GT6.

Are you serious? Like I said, I have completed the game 100% Platinum, collected everything there is to collect in the game. I have every car in the game, in every color, all 0/0/0. Nothing left to do. Online sucks and is just a bunch of bs nowadays so I really don't feel like putting up with that circus. Most of my friends have already moved on. So, the only thing left really is the WRS TT events that I take part in and those will end once GT6 comes out. So, there is no logical reason why I would keep playing a 3 year old game when there is a new and improved one out. One I might add, that all my friends will be playing. And as far as GT6 being a flop as compared to 5, I am not worried in the least.

So, if you want to be one of the lonely few that will still be playing 5 when 6 comes out, you go right ahead. The rest of us will be enjoying a brand new game with lots to look forward to while you're still stuck in the dark ages. :lol:

For someone with zero hybrid interest there is zero reason to stay.
6 has better physics plus everything from 5 (exception of Top Gear test track) plus more new cars and tracks not in 5.
I really can't believe anyone with 60 bucks and a interest in the game would stay on 5.
 
I will probably keep my copy. I'm sure after a few years have passed and the ps3 is an ancient counsel and I've done everything in GT6, I'll find myself playing it again just as I've done with all the GT games. Besides, it will complete my GT series collection.

I had GT5 since the day it released and by the time GT6 comes out, it will be over 3 years old. It's time to move on to a game that will be better, and that is a fact. As stated before, GT6 will have every car and track from GT5, and then some. Standard cars will look better. Not to mention the physics will be improved. That alone is enough to make GT5 obsolete and I haven't even named all of the improvements GT6 will bring. No point in wasting my time on a game that will be made inferior in a few months. Hybriding is also irrelevant to me. Unlike with GT5, I don't see myself bothering with it this time. So if you want to stick with an outdated game, while everyone moves on to a new and better one, it's your choice. 👍

I don't think I will play GT5 either. I'm pretty sure GT6'll have all the fun I need :p.
 
Once GT6 is in my hands, RIP GT5. It had a great run though.
 
I'll go back to it from time to time, I reckon. I have some tuned cars that are just too good to leave behind. I also haven't driven all of my cars yet & this is something I still want to do. (I've discovered a couple of gems lately.) 👍
 
I'll play Gt5 until I have Gt6 in my hands (that means on release date). Since I saw the Audi R18 TDI and all these GT3 Cars I cannot see any reason to go back to Gt5
 
No? I don't see the point really,but as others have said,I'll likely play it until I hear that thud on the door mat.:D

Haha I've been breaking in two cars a day as of late. If I have time I'd like to make it three.

I have yet to learn how to make an ideal tune in GT5, who knows if I ever will :lol: probably just going to learn on GT6. I've always relied on tunes by others as base tunes and then I would adjust them to my liking.

I'll most likely throw my GT5 disc out of the window once GT6 is in my living room shelf.

Too bad I'm not getting GT6 on launch, a little later, probably January.
