Which points system should we use?

  • 1: 40 per race, 20 pole position, 0 points second in qualifying

    Votes: 0 0.0%

  • Total voters

We're those the same ones that got banned at Suzuka last season?

Those are the people we're mentioning, yes. JZR Racing, I think.

As for the current investigations: don't expect to receive the same finishing positions as you had, unofficially, at the ends of the races. Some of you will be receiving slight time penalties. Others, more drastic penalties. <---- People will be relieved to know that some of the driving standards are unacceptable, and cannot continue.

The driver who's in the "most hot water" is going to be receiving a much heavier reprimand, than anyone else. Everyone else, comparatively, is getting a slap on the wrist. <---- And, best yet, if you're reading this, you're probably not the one who's getting the big penalty.

First official investigation report:

GTP_RACECAR leaving circuit; cause was a lag spike, no further action.

Oh god, Mel's trying to boost the post count...

The Infield, and Furi's post count is none of your business, in fact. I'm reporting on what I see as I go along, since I don't like keeping people waiting. You guys complain about the points.

Mels posts per day is actually higher than Furis believe it or not :sly:. (Mel 30.93, Furi 24.63)

I know! Wild stuff!

Anyways, sakery has a nice color on his car.

Back to investigations:

Race 2 results will be significantly altered; Scassatore will receive last place points, due to a well-documented series of poor decisions on the final lap.

No, it's not okay to try to spin polarbear. No, it's not okay to put furinkazen into the sand.

As a result:

the WMA Stewards are awarding scassatore last place points for both races, and a warning, detailing the poor choices.

I may keep my podium streak intact if this keeps up.

Nope.

It puts you in Top 5, but, nowhere near podium. I get podium #2, and polarbear gets into 4th. Batista and Carbonox retain their podiums from Race 2. That's the end of the podium streak, sorry. :guilty:

Polar got what I meant. 👍

We aren't even close to finished yet ;)

With Race 2, sort of. We're compiling a list of the things Scassatore needs to avoid doing... Race 1's still open for all discussion.

I just got done with race 1!

Race 2 was before, and I'm going through it again now... And I'm almost falling asleep!

Yeah, I know. We split up, to look at the replays separately, but, eventually came to a consensus, correct?

Yea, I've seen both races ~3 times each, so I pretty much know what you're talking about now

Final followup:

Race 1:

Furinkazen will receive a one second penalty for blocking, and going beyond the pit-lane "safe-area" to block polarbear345 on the last lap, on the straightaway. This moves him to fifth position in the official standings in Race 1. Please remember not to cross into a pit lane entry area, pushing polarbear345 into the pit lane entry wall.

GTP_LancerEvo7, Sakery, Furinkazen and Scassatore* warned for poor conduct; basically, please leave more room in braking zones, and at apexes.

Race 2:

Scassatore will receive last place points for both races, Race 1 and Race 2, for the multiple incidents throughout the race.**

* Scassatore will receive one warning, detailing mainly the events of Race 2, but also perhaps one incident from Race 1.
** we found more incidents following the original posting of the penalties.

Phwew, lots of tempers. I'm not in the correct frame of mind to comment, so I will tomorrow.

What? So it's ok for other people to CONSTANTLY ram me off but when I try ONE move to cover position, it's a penalty? How is that fair? In that case most of the field should be getting penalties as well. - Leave More room? If you have the racing line you have the racing line.

Calling BS on that one...

Wait, so it's ok for Polar to pass me in a "pit entry" zone?
Wait, more room in braking zones and apexes? I was leader? How close do you want me to get to the bloody corner? Cut it totally like half the field?

Furinkazen, a majority of the field is being warned/receiving penalties. You're not alone.

The only people who didn't really attract the attention of the stewards were RACECAR and whiskymaser.

But, most of the incidents were "clean" accidents, not horrible moves that put polarbear into a pit wall.

So going through Grand Valleys right hander after the hill downhill and I get divebombed in a place you should NEVER overtake at byt shoving someone off is not penalty worthy?

What does "more room in braking zones and apexes" mean? I was braking early, turning in, and being cleanest of the whole lot yesterday.

Clean incidents?

That's like saying someone is not pregnant but pregnant.

It's either one or the other.

The braking early part is irrelevant to you. You're only being warned for the pit lane wall swerve.

And, we can't seriously penalize everyone. whiskymaser's already been penalized. Braunracing88 removed, scassatore penalized now... The list is quite long.

Fact is, though, most of the other drivers were just braking late; something that they'll be warned for. The biggest problem is when someone intentionally runs someone else into a pit wall to maintain track position.

I penalized myself last season, because I drove like an idiot in one race. Everyone's going to have off races. Whether it's intentional or not, something's gotta give, eventually, and I have no control over anyone else's conduct, excluding what I tell them not to do. I have to enforce the rules. If polar put you into the pit wall, you'd be furi-ous, too, and you'd want him to get penalties.

As in, they're not intentional.

Unintentional contact is contact none the less.

It's sloppy driving and can and should be avoided.

It ruins other peoples laps and races, puts them off line and deserves penalties..

Right... I quote from above:

GTP_LancerEvo7, Sakery, Furinkazen and Scassatore* warned for poor conduct; basically, please leave more room in braking zones, and at apexes.

And also you guys honestly need to calm the hell down and learn some racecraft. I've not seen such a dirty race in TOCA since the old Season 2 days nearly two years ago. Half of what went on yesterday would be penalised in a much stricter way.

Which is why some people are getting penalties. 💡 Scassatore was a bit unhappy, or something, and made quite a few "sloppy driving" mistakes. So, he's getting a penalty and a warning.

Furinkazen loses 4 positions because polarbear's rear bumper was almost knocked off by the pit wall, when Furi pushed him against it.

I don't deny that there was some questionable driving. I just want to say, however, that if everyone gets the same penalty, there are no penalties. The people who make the worst moves will receive the worst penalties. You lose 1 single second. Scassatore loses almost all of his points.

Well that's his fault for overtaking off track limits then.

Track limits that where not mentioned, or told pre race by anyone.
