Well, I'm only at lap 10 of the second race, and I can say:
MrM - voluntarily giving
myself a penalty for ever so slightly bumping furi, since he complained. I thought he knew that I was alongside, and he didn't, so I ran out of track. Sorry.
P.S.,
don't blame batista anymore, we're both in white BMWs, and he did even better than I did.
Scassatore - penalty remains, took polarbear345 and whiskymaser out. I even got a phone call from whiskymaser telling me about the poor conduct. Strange, since this is the guy who often mentions bringing out the Dodge Ram Laramie to teach people how to drive with respect.
Batista - anyone with a replay of Race 2, go watch it from batista's perspective. He's a good role model for clean passes. He and Furinkazen did okay in Race 2.
Edit:
LancerEvo7 - 10 point penalty for "guard-railing" on laps 13 & 15 in Turn 1. (Don't ever use another car to turn your own, under any circumstances.)
Edit #2:
As for the incident on the last lap of Race 1, on the final straightaway, if furinkazen hadn't pushed polar's car (albeit gently) into the wall, the bump that occurred wouldn't have resulted in a little bit of a boost in speed to furinkazen; he wouldn't have beat Lancer.
It's a tough call, though, because I don't feel that there's a "most correct" penalty. What furinkazen did was wrong, but, the only options I really have are: give the win to Lancer (who did a fair amount of bumping himself,) polarbear, (who, following speculation, could've won, if he hadn't been blocked,) or Sakery; he drove clean, mainly, but wasn't quite in a position to win, following or before the incident.
So, it's a really tough call.
Furinkazen really shouldn't have moved over that far, to put polar into the pit wall, even slightly. With the draft, furinkazen would've been alongside Lancer for a photo finish, even without getting a glitch-boost of 2-3 km/h from pushing polarbear into the pit wall. It seems that the wise decision Furinkazen could've made, would've been to draft off of Lancer for as long as possible, then swing by Lancer to the left, leaving polarbear out of the draft for too long, which still would've left polarbear in third, Lancer in second, and Furinkazen in the winner's circle.
Why Furinkazen went to the right, almost into pit lane himself, instead of using the track to the left is unknown.
However, two corners earlier, Furinkazen makes a move across the entire track (permissible, however, as it was only one move.) However, this move actually put Furinkazen off of the track on the right side of the course, making him skid across the track towards the left, blocking the traffic. This slowed down the momentum of the field, and bunched the other cars up; admittedly, every driver was working with very little space.
Lancer maintained his line, and remained at full-throttle. When Furinkazen and polarbear made contact, furinkazen got a very large boost of speed that propelled him past Lancer. He used polarbear's momentum by blocking. The final push into the pit wall was enough to ensure an easy victory over Lancer, polarbear, and Sakery.
Final result: LancerEvo7 warned for last lap bumping, furinkazen
will receive his one second penalty. Decision is final.
There will be no "sorry" or anything, the appeal was conducted fairly, with no bias. The facts were clear; Furinkazen used contact with his car to gain an advantage, by disadvantaging polarbear. Polarbear was forced out of the acceptable confines of the racetrack in an accidental decision to try to pass Furinkazen. His car is clearly seen trying to pull back in line, behind Furinkazen's Volvo. Though the brakes were not used, every other reasonable effort was made; polarbear was definitely steering his vehicle towards the accepted racing surface, attempting to avoid pit-entry.
