I'm in a 50-50 situation as there's another series on Sundays that I'm committed to, and while it doesn't overlap with this, I may face difficulties doing two events in such a short timespan. Put me up as a reserve.
 
Lol. Yeah it is... Very quick. Just need to sort out the front tire wear problem, then its good to go.... Was running different setups last nite with different tire types. Still needs to see which one will give the best balance between tire life and performance...
 
Funny enough I'm not having any issues with my front tires , I have been using the medium tires I don't like using the soft anymore

I only developed the problem when I upped the downforce infront and changed my camber... Was trying to get the car to turn in bit more...
Guess I still will have to experiment a little.
 
So how do you guys feel about the test last night, I personally think the Falcon is awesome to drive but really down on performance keeping up. Some of those standing starts I was completely blown away.

The supra is the car to beat by the looks of it, the Viper also looked decent.
 
I think the Viper is the car to beat. Byo was seriously pulling out a big lead in the practice sessions...
Mind you, Driver you were not too shabby in that battle tank you were driving hey...:lol::lol::lol::lol:
 
Didn't really get to race Byo so I'm not sure if its the Viper or Supra .

The Falcon seems underpowered on the straight but it does seem to handle better than the other cars , I haven't driven any other car only the Supra so don't value my opinion .

Guys there is a problem with the Falcon...

Unlike most cars where if you add a high-rpm turbo they gain loads of PP, the Falcon only seems to gain about 12-13pp. So with the high-rpm turbo the Falcon can only get up to 632pp. This means that Falcon drivers who are entitled to a pp bonus can't take it because it is impossible!

I think most drivers will agree that driving these cars at 620pp + is loads of fun so if we had to drop them all down by 24pp to accommodate the Falcon then driving the other cars wouldn't be so much fun.

So I am thinking of dropping the Falcon from the series! :ouch:

There are a few cars that we could replace it with. I will do some testing.

When I tested, I thought my Falcon was using the standard turbo. Sorry!:)

As much as I love driving the Falcon, I think thats a good call Homes.

I drive with chase view and I also didnt like the fact that I couldnt see the viper and supra ahead of me when I was really close.

Last night we messed around running the set 623PP, it seemed a good match, the cars used were: Supra / Corvette / Viper. It worked and the racing was close.

Canu was very quick in the Viper.

I think we should run those cars as well as the Camaro, they seem to work well.

I would like to select the Corvette for the series if thats ok.
 
OK cool!

I did a little testing too thining that we might be able to run the Ford GT40 LM racecar but damn that thing is FAST! I was at least a 1.5 seconds a lap faster than any other car running at 623pp.

If we include it we would have to run it at about 615pp.
 
Personally I think you might have to run it at closer to 600pp...... that thing is seriously quick and balanced. It might be in a different league. I think the 4 cars we have to choose from are ideal for close racing, they are all even. We actually dot need another car. But if you do run another car, why not try the road car to race car conversion on the Vet or Viper?
 
I agree with Canu. That Ford is wayyyyy to fast to run in this series..

Just a question about the FORD Homes,
Has the Falcon (at 632pp) include a Stage 3 engine upgrade in conjunction with a High RPM turbo?
 
Actually I figured it out last night:

The Falcon gets to 632pp with a mid-rpm turbo.

It can get to 639pp with a high-rpm turbo which would mean we would need to run the falcon at 615pp and the other cars at about 606pp

I think 606 is a bit low for the others. They are really fun to drive at 623pp+

I think the RM cars struggle in the corners compared to the proper race cars which can lead to accidents but I will test them anyway.

Simply put, you are asking all of the non falcon drivers to drop pp [fine], but in doing so, you are allowing the falcon to operate at its max and optimum pp? By dropping our pp, you will now remove any advantages that we had and give all of these to the falcon who will be operating at well over 90% pp, we will be on about 70%. Personally i like the falcon, handles great, but doesn't have the legs at full speed. I would suggest that you keep the pp to about 620 ish and then the falcon is in the mix. Lastly, you can do a RM mod on the C6 corvette, you get this black and white RM and it is just as quick as the C5, in fact it handles better and gives you more HP for your pp level.

I agree completely..... and I have the C6, it might even be quicker than the C5 ;)
Without the Falcon we could probably up the pp to say 640pp? My Viper is running 70% engine power at 623pp..... that's not ideal :(
