This is really unlucky, but even with the first letter in place, elimination words are almost essential when you've got so many possibilities...

BUT, even with elimination words, the double letter options made this one even harder - and the fact that there was two possible repeating letters (i.e. PAPER and PARER) made it very tough. Also, PARER is a very unusual word

I'd imagine there will be ALOT of streaks broken today...

Elimination words could have helped but given that you had PA-E-, and both missing letters were R, you would have been up against it anyway

Failed today too. Never heard of the word, and wouldn't have got it if I had 20 guesses. I would've been really cheesed off today if LOFTY hadn't bulldozed my streak of 204 games last week.
