Awesone cars, but in SA we never used to get any opportunity to watch racing from the USA and the internet only started flourishing in SA in the last few years.

Tell me carbon, why do the scandanavian countries seem to have so many good racing drivers over the years?

Don't have any idea, it might just be the talent :)

Cause it's so cold they drive everywhere and they don't want to a have accidents otherwise they might have to get out there cars ;)

They have really good car control from driving in all conditions .

My guess

Just to explain further about my absence, I should say that I run out of motivation easily when I have to race impossible to beat opponents. Sure there are some guys in NASCAR Trucks that I won't ever beat in oval races (except maybe sprints) but I can usually make up for that on the road courses. However, here it's pretty much the same old guys in the lead in every possible track... that's not too fun :/ I prefer series that are as close as the old CART, where everyone stood a chance to get a podium on a good day... well not probably everyone... but about 20 different drivers, and that's a lot in a mostly 25 car grid ^^

You guys give up too easily , I am clearly not the fastest in this series and blame that not having enough wrench time with my Lupo but I know I can still win a race , I have before.

Sometimes its just being patient , races where I have let the race come to me I have won.

Sometimes you push too hard and end up making a mistake .

Well yes, but some of us just don't have the pace. I, for instance, always spent the qualifyings in Rising Sun about 2 secs behind Canu, but in the races I would often strike in the later season to grab the 'best of the mid-pack' prize, even rising to the podium in the end. However, this just seems to be a series that penalizes the slightest errors so badly that I'm not having fun any more.

Jeez..... I feel like I need to apologize for being fast. Haha ha My first series I ran I came 8th in the championship and the first to races of the Rising Sun I came 9th and 12th...... I never gave up!! I put a little effort into being more consistent and getting a better balance to the cars and things have been going better :)

What were the rules and car specifications you guys used in your gt500 cup ?

Think we ran 600pp, can't actually remember. Any new Japanese GT500 you can buy from the dealership you can use. The top 5 in the championship got pp ballast disadvantage. Leader had to run 585pp, 2nd guy 587pp, 3rd 592pp etc etc. We did a Quali and a main race, normally 45min or so. It really was a great series..... but tough. Tire wear and fuel dep was on, all aids could be used so that the guys who were novices could try compete. There was a mandatory pit stop and the race could be run on any tires you please. I'm really looking forward to The Rising Sun Part 2! :)

Well duh, as if someone actually ran without a pitstop. :p Oh and you were 6th in the Calsonic GTR Cup, I know this because I have the points table :sly:

I will be coming back once we're back to the SuperGT cars, though not if there are no aids (since they feel horrible to drive without 'em), so about my complete disappearance no one needs to worry about.

Yo...

I see the Ford Falcon Ozzie V8 is up for grabs in the online section.

Buy it if you don't have it......maybe we can do a Ford Falcon series???

LOL. Just wish we had Holden race cars. Then we could have a major Aussie racing series. Maybe we should do some testing and compare the Falcon with a few other touring cars and see if we can run them together fairly.

Watch this space later for details of the Christmas Ferrari shootout ;)

But i really like the settings for the "Christmas Ferrari shootout" i wish we could run a GT 300 series with the same set-up

Nice one homes.

So any of you practice yet for tomorrow? What times do we need to aim for?

Does any1 know if the concrete before the tunnel is part of the track? I'm guessing it is but suppose depends on penalties 💡
I put in a few laps cutting over the concrete and did a 120.1 offline :)

As far as I know...you can launch across the concrete, no penalties.

I am thinking of opening a practice room tonight if some are keen ?

If I get a chance I will join u Driver101.
They changed the tyre wear a lot!! I can only do 120.5 and softs last 10 laps !!
Possibly different compounds in the feature.

I'm going to definitely practice tonight, haven't had a chance yet. So 1:20,5 is the time to beat. Anyone on tonight?

Yeah, they have changed tyre wear in this update. I couldn't even make 5 laps at deep forest last night in an M3 that I always used to do with no problem.

Might not effect the Lupos as much though.

It might be an interesting spanner in the works :dunce:
