******LEADERBOARD UPDATED******

Track – Tsukuba, Dry (Section I) AND Wet (Section II)

Rules – Please follow all rules outlined in our initial WRC Thread

Forum – Please feel free to discuss strategies, any and all “T” Times, just no final times.

Time Submission – What I need from you now by Sunday Dec. 11th @ 12:00PM (PST) is a Private Message for Stage IV with BOTH Section Times.

Leaderboard – You can find the running Leaderboard at this address:
http://www.luxy.ca/gt4/leaderboards/wrc/
Here is the address to the stage and overall points leaderboard:
http://www.jumpace.com/gt/WRC/LB.htm

Side Dish – Tsukuba is our first tarmac rally course, so now its time to blend together what you have learned in the car on dirt with your pavement skills. Tsukuba has 2 tight hairpins that must be taken as fast as possible; try to give yourself the widest possible turning radius to keep momentum, especially on the back straight.

Does not mention anywhere, but is TCS allowed?

On rally courses, the TCS and stability crap are automatically turned off regardless.

Oh yeah set up the car however u want, some people drive better with tcs on, I however do not.

It's amazing! For the first time ever I was actually noticeably quicker in the Starion than I was in the DeLorean! Granted, that may change if we can indeed use TCS. The DeLorean is an ungodly handful on the wet track without some way to control the ridiculous amount of wheelspin.

Historic:
Wet:
T1: 14.666
T2: 33.782
Dry:
T1: 13.123
T2: 29.902

Unlimited 2wd:
Wet:
T1: 16.642
T2: 38.687
Dry:
T1: 14.089
T2: 32.105

Had a quick go with my DS2:

Dry:
12.1 / 27.726

Wet:
13.767 / 31.930

TCS off :p

I found that changing the toe setting to -2/+2 helped a lot with understeer.

By the way Jump, did you get my email with my lap times??

Gotcha covered Fox 👍

@Max, u can change the settings to however you feel comfortable, which is why I chose sim mode. If you Delorean is having TONS of wheel spin turn just the tcs on to level 1 and it should let u floor it out of the turns with no 'funny wheelspin business'

Also take Luxy's advise about the toe, if your car understeers try -1/+1 and feel the difference, then if it needs more ty -2/+2 etc.

Yeah, the main problem I've been having is traction issues with the delorean on the wet track. Both cars stick amazingly well on the dry track thankfully. Another problem I've come to realize is that I had the rear of the starion toeing in when I wanted it to toe out!

You said it, I'm now debating on changing my historic and 2wd cars so I can be more competitive, or at least become competitive...lol. we'll see though, maybe I can find some gems in the used car lot. Now u KNOW I"m gettin desperate when I throw in the used car lot ...heheh. I'll keep y'all updated *if* I switch. Or on the other hand, how about u guys stop being so fast, deal? No? Thought so ;)

And that's why I didn't hand in my times ... taking a podium and being 4-5 seconds behind the 2nd placed car would have made me feel reeeeeeeeeeeeeeeally cheesy.

Congrats to all drivers out there! 👍

If you want to change cars Kolyana, just gimme your specs and all that stuff and tear up Tsukuba like no other ;)

I test drove the more powerful version last night and I'm almost wondering if it's *too* powerful :p I'll let you know.

My apparent lack of speed at Swiss Alsp wasn't because of the cars, I don't think, because I was slower in both ... I just had the wrong line.

Its not too powerful, c'mon u know u want to, "You don't know the power of the dark side" If I remember right it will be fine as long as you dont do ANY HP upgrades; an oil change puts it over the limit.

Nah, I'm gonna hang onto my Starion. So far it's hanging in there at second so I figure what the hey. If I can get that lead sled to stay in the top 3, I'll be happy. :)

I personally do not aggree with the switching cars after the season started as it takes some of the spirit of the whole thing. And it would have been interesting to see how each car faired at each course.

But its not really my decision about the rules; though I will be keeping my so far disapointing RX-7.

Good point Fox, but I also don't want to make the series 'drag on' for anyone either. If letting them change cars ONCE lets them have more fun, then go for it. 👍

Well, I finally figured out the big tuning secret behind getting the DeLorean to work on this track... When you let the computer auto-select the tires, make darn sure it's the racing super-softs and not the sport softs! Anyway, more updatage with a big jump for the delorean.

Keeps it simple just to stick with what I've got then.

I'm switching my WRC/Class A car! I was hoping my orginal choice would be able to run with the other cars but that is not the case so I'm switching. My other choice is dropping out out of the WRC class, but I'd rather just switch cars.

Nat, if you're not happy with your car, SWITCH!

Kolyana
I'm happy with it ... it's just slow :p

Thats why I'm switching. 👍

When my WRC/Classs A car can't beat my Historic car then its time to make a change!

My new WRC/Class A car

Kolyana
I'm allowed to use RSS tires at Tsukuba, right?

Use RSS, Use RSH whatever u feel fits the bill on this one. C'mon Nat, switch cars, everyone else is....lol. And DAMN! Thats one beauty of a pic Bryan well done, me likey! Car approved, just gimme some time to change my database stuff.
