Worst Car ever in gt3

Klonie, dude, put down the blunt and step away from the keyboard. CTR2 can be tuned for reasonably neutral handling and is in the same league speed-wise as a fully tuned VR4 or R33.

But I completely disagree that a stock Zonda drives well. Yes, it is faster than anything else street, but because of the vastly superior power/weight, not because it handles like anything other than a turd.
 
The bad: All GT-R's, I just can't seem to find any love for these cars

These are all chosen because of what I like. I like cars that can go fast and TURN. If it doesn't go that fast but can turn beautifully(Trueno), then it's fine in my book. But if it turns like all the cars I listed(and some I forgot to mention), it gets on this list.

Escudo gets on this list because of the above and the ****ing spoiler.

Me, I drift, so I can't hate the Trueno. RX-8 I can however, I think it looks really ugly.

Look man, what I hate is what I hate and I certainly am not confined to cars that have bad performance. If you like a car that has so-so performance, good for you. But like I said what I hate is what I hate.

Alright, back to cars that I hate. The fifth would be the Panoz Esperante GT1. Why would a race car that has so much horsepower drag down?

Sixth, the Esprit is lacking in good handling. Speed may be its priority but the handling is the suck.
 
The Panoz is ugly. They should have used the later open cockpit that raced in Le Man (i dont think it finished the race, but it looked good).

GT3 would not be a Gran Turismo if it didnt have the Escudo for everyone to tear into. Which leads to another interesting subject of the test track...

The RUF cars are a pain to tune. In fact, i havent once made them handle the way that is driveable in the corners. So sad...

Supras and Skyline. The Japanese muscle cars. I dont hate them, but given my choice i'd rather drive something with smaller displacement just so i can steer.

Trueno is an acquired taste. I wouldnt mind having one, I mean just look at the trunk space :D!

I've only ever driven the CTR stock, which I enjoyed - great four wheel drfits thanks to the controllable understeer.

The RGT takes a bit to master, but once you get its number, it's almost telepathic in its handling and responsiveness. I think I have settings posted for it on the Settings board, but if you can't find them, start a thread or PM me and I'll put them up.
 
i have heard of people being able to drive cars fast that have an under(steer) characteristic. unfortunately my driving isnt up to that level yet nor have i learned to drift (started but havent been working on it).

i'll have to try it next time i'm over my friend and play GT3. i'll do a search in the settings forum or PM you. thanx for the offer neon_duke, i may hold ya to it ;).
 
Actually, I am capable enough to drive cars that have an understeering characteristic. But I only like that type of driving 65-55% of the time :D

Yes it's very possible, it requires a different technique to driving cars more oversteer biased or even ars that are neuteral bt once you get the hang of it you can drive tham fast. For practise, try the Pro FF races 10 laps on each of the three tracks should help you figure out a better line and technique for them.

I really hate understeer as well, and don't enjoy too many cars that handle that way. A lot of them just plow until you lose a lot of speed before getting their feet back under them.

The thing about the CTR that saves it the predicatbility and controllability. You can pitch it into a turn early and under hard braking so that you're aimed inside the apex. Then, applying throttle will make it wash out (a true four-wheel drift) so that the nose clears the inside wall. If you start running too wide, a quick lift will tuck the nose back in.

The key to the RGT is to have enough power to break the back end loose when you want to. In stock or mild trim, don't run tires softer than T3s or T4s. As power goes up you can go softer, all the way up to the 1060hp maximum on T8s. But you need to be able to horse the back end around on the tighter turns, and since its a rear engine car, that takes muscle. Luckily, since it is rear engine, the back end usually hooks right back up, and off you go.
 
A rear engined car should lose the back end easier.
 
With the weight concentrated over the back wheels, it regains traction very quickly, as opposed to a front engined car.
 
But when you turn doesnt the added weight at the back cause more lateral force so the back end wan't to go sideways more, add to that the weight still shifts to the front when you brake, I presumed thats why cars like the 911 GT3 are known to spin easilly.
 
Yes, the rear-engined 911 is well known for oversteer under trail braking or particularly if you lift throttle mid corner. However, under acceleration (even moreso in the game) it understeers due to weight transfer to the rear. The RGT in the game has a lot of grip, and you need enough power to be able to crank the back end around on the throttle.
 
Toyota Vitz/Yaris Euro edition: Not much point of including this car in the game. As standard, it's rather sluggish and I bet it's still not so good when tuned. It may be easy to drive, but much of the ease of driving is porbably due to lack of speed. THis car whould be fine as an everyday commuter car, but it's a bit pointless in GT4, when there's 1.5 RS model, which is adequately fast by my standards,

It doesn't even have reasonable speed, and it lacks the character and fun factor that saves the Mini Cooper 1.3i from being considered as awful.

I read alot about people fiding the RUFs hard to drive, especially the RGT. I find them easier to drive than most cars in GT3, maybe the engine over the back axle fits my driving style, or lack there-of of one. I probably have triple the mileage in a RUF RGT than any other car in GT3, the 3400s and CTR2 are close to that. Each car can be tuned to perfection.....

Useless cars to me in GT3 (and I am not calling out the cars I don't like but ones that really have no value in GT3);
-the Lister
-Tickford (vipers do the big ugly power thing better)
- the Alfa (though I love the damn thing but it has no use)
-7000 different Evos and Skylines (I don't like the cars but do we really need that many version when people msot use the top 1 or 2)
- Audi TT (if there wasn't a TT cup in GT3 you would never need to buy it, it is such a dman pig which is a shame because in real life it is a plast to drive)
-PT Cruiser (no point what-so-ever)
-Escudo (if you want a car to do wheelies and go 3000mph go play a rocket ship racing video game, now if GT3 had a hill climb race then ya....thats the car. Too much power is a BAD thing.)
-The F1 cars other than the f094/s & H and the f090 (....and I AM an F1 fan)
-All of the super low end Japanese/Korean cars...all you really need at the start is a Vitz or a Mazda
-All of the Jags in GT3 (which is sad given in real life I am sure they rock)

The Mini rocks...so does a fully tuned vitz. I think the vitz pro race is one of the best series in the game, yes it's due to the close competition but also the way the Vitz drives. You can set up other close competition races but none are as fun as the pro vitz race.

well i love the XJ220 race car but the street car is a disappointment...i am sure as you said that they dont handle that badly irl...they are known for thier stability and comfort at high speed...

PD sorted this out in GTC the Jag S-Type is a joy to drive, slightly boatish but drifts beautifully and keeps traction and just when you think your about to lose it, it keeps the line...:)

i quite like the Panoz now that i have had a real chance to get to know the car....not the best but i would say that its better than the XJ220 road car....

That wasn't his point. His point was why have the 1.3 Euro Edition, when the 1.5 RS is there?
 
The Falcon may seem to be useless, but believe me, it does have uses. It has horrrible weight bias, the aerodynamics of a cardboard box, and that lack of ground clearence showing everytime you hit the paint on the road.

That does not say "this car sucks" just yet. Put the front wings to max and the rear wings to 1.10, balance the suspension, and tune the gears for 150 MPH, + or - 10 for the track. It can now take corners like a slot car. Still think its horrrrible? Try drifting. This beast is a natural...
 
I like the Falcon very much to drive; my only problem is the horrible front tire wear.
 
Just to refute a couple of ones other people have said:

Skyline LM Road Car: I agree that it is sluggish, but after driving it for a while I've considered it to be more of a long-haul type of car. During my run in the Trial Mountain Enduro (which requires that cars be bone stock, mind you) I found it to be rather neutral in long sweeping corners which kept it from losing too much speed, whereas other cars would keep skidding to the outside or oversteer. The strong braking and fairly easy tire wear helped as well.

PT Cruiser: I've used mine to win all three FF Challenges, Sunday and Clubman Cups, the Beginner Stars & Stripes Challenge and the Beginner NA AND Turbo Cups, so I'd hardly say it has "no point at all". The fact that it retails for under $20,000 in the game makes it all the better. :)

Audi TT: Admittedly I'm not much of a fan of this car either, but if you shunt the 4WD balance to the rear wheels (30:70 or thereabouts) and do some suspension work it's actually a quite respectable little machine. Better than a 4WD car crammed onto a Golf chassis would be expected to turn out anyway.


Now as for what I think is the worst? I'd say it's split between the Nissan Silvia Varietta, Opel Speedster and the Mercedes-Benz SLK 230 Kompressor. They all have high price tags, sluggish gearing, and their weight combined with the convertible design kills their rigidity, making them a real pain to drive unless you're willing to dump a ton of money into the suspension and chassis. The money spent to make these good cars would be better spent on a Miata LS in my opinion.

If '2 Vitz' mean '1 Vitz too many', then what about the loads of Miata or Lancer Evo ?
They are not bad cars but there are so many of them that I'm usually ignoring the whole pack.

Except the Escudo which is crap because of its acceleration and top speed, I find the CL600 incredibly heavy and slow.
 
man i agree with evo... i abseloutly hate the audi TT, its abse*******g dreadful. i despised the tt series and u try to bloody tune the thing. its a big pile of s***t. it accelerates like a fat slug and buids up speed like a supertanker:banghead: ...idont see the point of that car...but vitz and mini kickass, they handle nicely, and can be had for cheep. i havent tried the escudo but from what i hear it kinda poo:irked:
 
i dont hate any car in gt3... everycar is good at just about something... maybe the audi is a good rally car.. i never tried personally..
 
I'm sorry i have to say that the V8 vanquish was the biggest waste of money for me. You talk about cars that can't use their power!!! i tuned my to about 900+ hp and it goes NOWHERE!!! Not to mention you can't shave any weight of the d*mn boat!!!
I hated that car. my SUPRA RZ with about 300 less hp would blown the doors of that steaming pile of Brittish ****!!!
But that is just my personal expierence.

My fav car overall is the Lotus Motorsport Elise, that car is the best car you can have pound for pound, and for the cost. I know there are cars that can beat it, but it's just a dream to race.
 
hey, its a fun car to drift. hey, its supposed to be a drivin sim, so i guess u can find a purpose for every car.... we all have our dislikes and favorites.
 
i havent ried the v8 vantage, it looks like one hell of a drifter, but the motorsport elise.... now try drifting THAT on sim tyres, i havent seen ANY GODAMN THING more challenging... total fun man!! :banghead:
