So you hate driving and racing? Who cares if it's the same race, have some fun.
yea, that's totally what I said...
No it isn't. For 100% completion, but it does not matter.
so, wait...it isn't mandatory for completion, but it is mandatory for 100% completion...please explain...
There's nothing you can do about it.
so I'm just supposed to be happy about it?
Problems? I see none. I'm fine driving a Standard.
this is more of a perspective issue
It's random, not refusing. It's called have some damn patience.
it's called frustrating and not wanting to go in and out of races for an FGT, or missing a car you've been wanting cause you didn't have enough credits, then never seeing it again
again, something that was advertised before release, then not in the game
Dude, there's a Course Maker. That's a TON of tracks.
yea...you get to choose from their pre-selected options...
Deal with it. What are you going to do about it?
again, I'm just supposed to be happy about it?
...sound okay. Maybe you need a better TV. Check your settings.
no, I actually have a great TV. some of the cars sound great, most don't.
More weight= less handling.
so I guess the fact that the GT-R handles well has a lot to do with it's feather light weight, right?
It's not easy to model a car and throw in the interior. Maybe Ford said no. PD can't just steal designs.
just speculation. I believe it had more to do with laziness and just porting from GT4/GTPSP
Again, there's nothing wrong. It just makes you work for it.
there's lots wrong with it. you have to have the paint chip, and you can only use it once, then you have to pay 2k? yea, this is pointless hoop jumping
There's nothing you can do about it.
AGAIN, I'm just supposed to be happy with it?
It's fine. Sheesh, now you're just picking things to make the list bigger
lol, no. if you advertise something to sell the game, it better be in there...that's usually called false advertising, or something crazy like that..."hey, come buy this new awesome car with a top speed of 300mph and 2g's of cornering capability! oh yea, after you buy it, you'll find it does 200, and has .9g of corner capability...but we'll still charge you the same..."
Is expensive, but you don't HAVE to buy it.
I've heard it affects the handling after some time
One camber option doesn't deserve being hated. And NASCAR is in to show an advancement that NASCAR can drive on more than ovals.
that was merely a single example of the other stupid tuning options...way to use your brain...
You have to get the license to put Indy GP cars in the game. PD didn't
first, they aren't "Indy GP cars", and secondly, they put down the ridiculous amount of money to include everything else...why put Indy in without Indy Cars? that's really a bonehead move. also, it's not like they were walking a tight line with the budget...
Get better tires. The better the tires, the better the braking.
OH MAN! I'M SO GLAD SOMEONE EXPLAINED THAT TO ME!!!!!! I WAS NOT AWARE!!! EVER!!!!!! seriously, it's just a small detail that was pointless to take out.
this is a small detail, but hugely irritating when trying to take photos in replay mode
What do you mean saving? It stays tuned!
you apparently have never played any other proper racing sim where you can have multiple setups, and load each one depending on condition or track
5-10 seconds is a long time, right?
smartass. it's irritating, and was just a stupid decision. it's like having to air up your tires every time you need to drive your car. doesn't take a very long amount of time, but starts to grind on you if you have to do it every time.
That's how I feel about the points made.
that's how I feel about this post
[Redacted by the Mod Squad]
I'd like to preface this post with a disclaimer; I recognise that everyone is allowed to express their opinion and the following is not an attack on that right, it's more my own opinion. As the OP stated a few things almost as if they're facts, I've done the same.
Most of your (OP) points are kind of invalid as previous GT's didn't even nearly include some of the things you say aren't great, so I can't see how including them, albeit half-heartedly, makes GT5 worse than GT1, 2, 3 or 4 (or any of the semi-releases between).
Yes, the AI is probably worse than before, but complaining about the paint system in the 'worst GT yet?' thread is strange; GT has never had a paint system before. Also a lot of people complain about B-Spec, yes, it sucks at first, but you just need to give him faster cars than you used and then it's fine, when you get to level 20 he's actually pretty good. No, there's no fast forward unlike in GT4, but it has to be balanced somehow.
Also GT has always involved an element of grinding, so I don't get why people are complaining about that, is it just that you can't cheat any more by making Bob do it for you (not meant as a dig, it's a serious question)?
And finally, this game has been out for what, 3 weeks now, and you want to have finished it already? I plan to make this last not weeks, not months, but years... They're going to have to add more longevity for that to happen, though. And even more finally, I bought it because I wanted the best racing sim I could get on my PS3/360, and I got it, though some of the design choices of the game it's clothed in are strange, it's far from being the worst GT yet. In my opinion.
(I'd like to reaffirm my position on this; the OP does make a few valid points which I wholeheartedly agree with, too, but this is just opinions.)
good response. I was expecting more stuff like this.
